In one of the most popular and exclusive communities in Jackson Hole, Shooting Star, Four Pines 105 calls to families and friends that want both easy access to the many activities available in Teton Village and also an elegant, view-filled home to relax in after the day’s adventures are done. At Four Pines 105, Teton Village and the Bridger-Teton National Forest (a 3.4 million acre expanse of wild land on which the ski area operates) take center stage. But the quiet southwest entrance to Grand Teton National Park, open only in the summer, is also only two miles away.

The downhill skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and climbing offered by Jackson Hole Mountain Resort are all right out Four Pines 105’s front door. Inside the home, two-story, floor-to-ceiling windows in the great room frame the iconic JHMR tram, black diamond Hoback runs, and the crags of Rock Springs Canyon.

Four Pines 105 features a materials palette of reclaimed log timbers, barn wood siding, and snow fence; Corten steel with clad battens; and Montana Moss Rock. Its layout is open yet efficient. French doors from the main living area open to a patio with a grill, outdoor fireplace, and Jacuzzi. The property sits on a seasonal stream.

This home’s main public space is a combined kitchen/dining/living room with a stacked stone wood-burning fireplace, a dining table with seating for 12, a kitchen island with seating for five, and a living area with sectionals. The kitchen is professional grade with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances and a wine fridge. A game/media room is a secondary, and more intimate, public space.

Four Pines 105 is unique among the lodges at Shooting Star for its exceptional mix of whimsy with mountain elegance. Black Forest antler mounts hang on walls next to stunning large-format black and white photography of the Tetons, hand-blown glass sconces, and custom faux animal heads. Wallpaper is used throughout the house to add texture and detail. A powder room on the main level is done in plaid flannel wallpaper. Elsewhere in the home, wallpaper has an abstract pattern or features stylized animals.

One of two primary suites is the only bedroom on the main level. In its own wing, this suite is at the end of a glass-walled hallway. Amenities include a gas burning fireplace, king size bed, private patio access, views of Rendezvous Mountain and the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, a spacious walk-in closet, a steam shower, an oversize freestanding deep-soaking bathtub, and a separate water closet.

The primary suite on the upper level has many of the same amenities as the main level primary suite. Views from the suite are to the north and Grand Teton National Park rather than towards the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

The two other bedrooms on the second level share a bathroom with a double vanity and walk-in shower. The bunk room has four twin built-in bunks and the adjacent guest bedroom has two twin size beds.
