Villa Valiani

Description

Distinctive and overflowing with character, the splendid hideaway of Valiani is a wonderful place to escape from it all. The pool – shaped in a figure-8 - is found at the top of a short set of steps and is surrounded by a hedgerow, with a beautiful fountain feature and a poolside shower. There are also some great views of the hillside forests from the upper terrace. Plus, the villa is on the edge of the Chianti region, so you’re never far away from some of the greatest food and wine in the world.

Inside, you’ll find a uniquely designed home with wooden furniture and comfortable beds. The exposed-stone walls add the authentic rural atmosphere, as do the wooden ceiling beams and beautiful farmhouse-style kitchen. There’s also a very nice office room with a daybed, so if you feel like doing some reading or writing on your Tuscan adventure, this is the place to do it.

Our Thoughts

Between the bustling town of Poggibonsi and the distinguished Chianti region, Valiani is perfectly poised for convenience and culture. We were most impressed with the original way the rooms have been arranged, especially the kitchen set on a mezzanine floor above the lounge. Plus, who could resist that huge luxurious pool?

3 double beds, none of which can be converted into twin beds.

2 bathrooms, 1 with shower, 1 with bathtub. 1 of these bathrooms is en-suite.

1 guest toilet.

Bedroom 1 has two double beds, one of which is atop a mezzanine floor. The ceiling above this bed is quite low so guests must take care.

The villa is entirely fenced and pet-secured.

Guests are allowed to bring one dog.
