Description

Characteristic stone house dated back to XVIII century situated in a green forest near Artò, a small district of Madonna del Sasso, overlooking Lake Orta, at short distance from Lake Maggiore. The house is located on the Via Francigena and once housed the pilgrims from the North. On the property there is a water source and another house is occasionally inhabited by the owner. The house is spread out over 3 floors, with living room and kitchen on the ground floor, bathroom on the first floor, two bedrooms on the third floor. Beautiful outdoor area shared with the owners, equipped for outdoor meals. The lake offers the chance for walking, golf and tennis court, museums, historical buildings to visit, kitesurfing, wakesurfing, skiing in the winter on the Mottarone. From Orta ferries to the near San Giulio Island, “the stone island”, small medieval jewel (27 km). Distances: the romantic town of Arona (27 km), Stresa on the charming Lake Maggiore (32 km). On site it is possible to book cooking lessons (min. 2 people) with dinner preparation. The access road to the property has a steep climb of about 50 m (not suitable for sports cars) and then leads for about 100 m through flat terrain in a field (not recommended when it rains). The fireplace is only decorative.
