Description

In the heart of the Alentejo Countryside, near the beautiful and historical city of Evora, is Villa Alentejo Sabia– a slice of timelessness showcasing rural Portugal. If this unbelievable location doesn't draw you in, then this incredible villa and its awe-inspiring interior design will. This villa will, without a doubt, become the next destination for your dream holiday and will stay with you long after you have left it.

Surrounded by stunning palm groves and cacti, this gorgeous country villa, perched on top of a hill, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Formerly a family home and farm, Villa Alentejo Sabia sits on a generous two hectares of land, with olive fields and abundant wildflowers growing amongst the native flora. Villa Alentejo Sabia was thoughtfully renovated to transform this family home into a modern and well-designed villa with everything you could need to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Starting outside, we are greeted by a large, shaded pool surrounded by a cacti garden and olive trees. This geometrical pool is where you can relax on one of the deluxe lounges that sit under a camping shade, dip in the refreshing water, or go to the rooftop terrace and bask in the beautiful Portuguese sun on yet another deluxe sun lounge. (Hot tip: come here to watch the sunrise and sunset, we promise you won't regret it!)
Weaving pathways, designed by a noted landscaper, take you to different garden areas, encouraging you to explore the grounds and indulge in the surrounding nature. Come here to pause and reflect on the beautiful sounds of birds to listen to. These pathways will also take you around the house, connecting to different areas and offering you secluded nooks to spend time in, perhaps having a nap or enjoying a good book. These areas perfectly complement the interior design of the house and its leisurely ambience.

Inside, the villa is styled with contemporary, designer furniture and finishings making this a designer's dream! The use of materials, texture and interesting patterns make every room a visual delight; every room exudes style. The living area is as luxurious as it is comfortable, and everything in this house exudes a feeling of calm that will no doubt help you to surrender yourself and truly relax. The generous, pillowy couches entice you to come and spend time here with a glass of wine (or two!) The layout of this loungeroom encourages conversation between guests, allowing you to take time off technology and be in the present.

The bedrooms in Villa Alentejo Sabia will make you never want to leave. They are as spacious, comfortable and will ensure you sleep deeply every night. Each bed is fitted with pillowy duvets and soft covers. Three of the bedrooms in the main house include a luxurious king-size bed, a deluxe modern ensuite, and a freestanding bath perfect for those romantic nights in or a little bit of self-care. The fourth bedroom in the main house includes two twin beds (with the option to push these together to make one double), a fireplace perfect for those cooler nights and access to the pool deck. The bathroom is next door and includes an amazing walk-in shower. Moving into the Guest House, there are two further bedrooms: One bedroom with a spacious king-size bed and the second with two twin beds. Both these bedrooms share a bathroom with a single vanity and bath.

#### Location
Situated in the beautiful Alentejo Countryside near the historical city of Evora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Villa Alentejo Sabia is the perfect location for those looking to escape the city and spend time in a rural area away from traffic, work and city chaos. Whether this is a romantic getaway with friends and partners or a family holiday, this magical villa and its surrounding attractions will give you the break that you deserve.

Located near the vineyards of Sao Miguel de Machede, a short seven-minute drive will take you to Casa Relvas. This beautiful locally-owned winery offers tours and tastings of their organic wines. Built-in 2003, their building is an architectural masterpiece and sits proudly amongst the countryside and vineyards. Alternatively, you could drive 30 minutes to Fita Preta Vinhos, whilst it is further away, take the opportunity to explore more of the local areas, taste more delicious wine and perhaps buy yourself a bottle to enjoy later that night on the rooftop terrace watching the sunset.

We highly recommend visiting Redondo, a village only a 20-minute drive from your villa and the surrounding area of the village. In this beautiful and quaint village, you can find lovely ceramics, art, delicious food and wine. If you are interested in historical landmarks, you cannot miss the dolmens (stone tombs/monuments) in the surrounding area. Anta do Colmeeiro is one of the best preserved as well as Anta da Herdade da Candeeira, Anta da Venda do Duque and Anta da Vidigueira. Some of these routes are available by prior appointment with Redondo City Hall. All these monuments are incredible proof of earlier human presence in the region.

You simply must visit Evora, the closest city to you and only a 25-minute drive away. The Portuguese kings once chose this world heritage sight as their residence in the 15th century, and as you wander the streets of this gorgeous city, it's not hard to understand why. This city is filled with history that will attract history buffs and keep kids entertained. Those who are interested in design, architecture, and culture will be overjoyed with the tight windy streets, white buildings and Roman churches. If you want to go out to a lovely restaurant or bar on your stay, we recommend coming to Evora to find some delicious food. We recommend Alkimia Wine Lounge for a contemporary twist on Portuguese food and a fine dining experience. For some more traditional food, you must go to Taberna Tipica Quarta-feira. In this gorgeous family-owned restaurant, you will be served traditional food where the menu is very seasonal and local to the area. Pateo is an excellent spot for lunch, and enjoys their outdoor garden, basking in the beautiful weather and eating delicious food.
