Description

Perched on a hillside in the Jalon Valley, Villa Xalo is a private villa with pool and a magnificent view. Sleeping six guests, it's located in a residential area just two kilometres from Jalon's cultural town centre.

Villa Xalo's interior has a fresh, contemporary feel and all three double bedrooms have cooling white walls. Spread across two floors, two of the rooms boast en-suite bathrooms and there's a third bathroom. The kitchen is modern and well-appointed, and the lounge and dining area is open-plan, creating a wonderful space for everyone to come together to share memories from the day, mealtimes and plans for tomorrow.

As you walk round Villa Xalo, you catch tantalising views of the mountains through the windows, but for the best view in the house, head out onto the terraces. Your covered terrace faces the valley. You have fields rolling down to the town of Jalon, olive groves, orchards and vineyards. The view continues into the distance with the mountain range stretching as far as the eye can see. It's breath-taking and it's all yours! Morning coffee, al fresco breakfast, leisurely lunches and evening drinks can all be taken here, admiring the view from the cool shade of your terrace. If you want to see it from another vantage point, there's also a roof terrace.

Off to one side of the house is your private pool. Take a dip in the beautiful refreshing water any time you like and then relax on a sun lounger, either in the shade of an umbrella or to soak up the Mediterranean sun. You also have a gazebo-covered table and chairs pool-side and barbecue for outdoor lunches on the terrace.

Your nearest town is Jalon just a couple of kilometres away. Here you'll find shops, traditional bakeries, a supermarket and amenities. Given its rural location, Villa Xalo would be especially ideal for an activity-based holiday, as you have hiking, cycling, golf and tennis all within easy reach. After a day's exploring, your private pool will be waiting for you back at Villa Xalo.

#### Location
Villa Xalo is wonderfully situated for sightseeing. You're just a few minutes' drive to the town of Jalon (known locally as Xalo). It's full of Valencian culture with the streets and shops displaying its wine and almond growing heritage. The spectacular bloom of almond blossom occurs in February so you're unlikely to catch it but console yourself with trying the local almond pastries. Jalon boasts several bakeries where you'll find a large selection of cakes and biscuits made with locally grown almonds. Some have savoury ingredients and the green ones are made with peas!

Jalon is also famous for wine, notably Moscatel and full-bodied reds. There are a number of bodegas worth a visit, with your closest winery on the outskirts of Jalon. Taste and buy your wine here, ready for a pleasant evening back on your terrace at Villa Xalo.

You're only ten kilometres from Benissa; an ancient town perched at 275 metres above sea level. Being one of Costa Blanca's oldest towns, it's a popular tourist destination with charming cobbled streets, medieval town hall and market square.

Walking and cycling trails lead you off into the valley from Villa Xalo. There are cycle hire centres in Jalon town centre. The Jalon Valley boasts some of the most beautiful scenery and greatest variety of vegetation in Spain. On your travels, look out for almond, orange, lemon and cherry trees; olive groves; vineyards and the distinctive cypress trees of the Mediterranean. In addition to the thousands of annual sunshine hours enjoyed in this corner of the Costa Blanca, the area also benefits from a cooling summer breeze called the Llebeig. A welcome companion on any of your cycling or walking adventures.
