Description

Nestled slightly inland, among forests of fragrant pines in a quaint, quiet community, Villa Anabela is the ideal home for those seeking a traditional beach holiday, with the luxury of a tranquil, picturesque location.
The main living area blends hints of traditional character with contemporary comforts, including two large sofas, a plush rug and a plasma TV with Satellite channels. Alongside the living area there is a dining table for up to 7 guests. Spot lighting creates a luxurious atmosphere, while a fireplace will ensure you stay cosy and comfortable even on the cooler nights. The spacious kitchen has both a traditional range cooker and a more modern oven, as well as a double sink, dishwasher, microwave and a large fridge/freezer. There is also a breakfast table to create more choice when it comes to meal times.
On the first-floor there are three fabulous double bedrooms, all of which enjoy high-quality furniture, plenty of natural light and lots of storage space, while two even have their own TVs. The master bedroom has a plush rug at the end of the bed as well as an ensuite bathroom complete with a hydro-massage shower. There are two more bathrooms, one on each floor, both of which have a shower, WC and washbasin.
In the garden, the pool offers a wonderful spot for relaxing. Settle in a sun lounger and enjoy dipping in and out of the pool to cool off in the famous Iberian sunshine. Be sure to take advantage of the huge barbeque area, where you can enjoy a fantastic alfresco meal, whatever the weather! Take a stroll through the woods to the designated picnic area, just a three-minute walk away, and feel as though you're deep in the forest.
Just 5km from the beaches of the Atlantic coast, Villa Anabela is the dream home for a group that loves the beach and the tranquillity of green, natural landscapes in equal measure!

#### Location
Enveloped in vineyards and rolling hills of green, Villa Anabela is located in the exquisite Barcelos area of the Minho province, famous for its delicious wines. Just 15 minutes from Barcelos city, you are perfectly located to enjoy the quaint communities, local culture and the slow pace of life of rural Portugal. The town of Braga, the capital of the district, is about 25 minutes away and hosts many relics of the region's diverse history.
The thriving town of Porto is about a 40-minute drive away and is a UNESCO World Heritage city, built along the hills overlooking the Douro river estuary, with a busy historical and commercial centre. Porto is of course famous for its eponymous Port wine, a 40% sweet, fortified wine, and you can enjoy many a port tour and we would highly recommend a visit to the various wine caves, both of which are thoroughly affordable and excellent value.
Minho is a fantastic, largely rural region on the northernmost Atlantic tip of Portugal, bordering the Spanish region of Galiza, with which it shares many attributes. Minho is perhaps most famous as the home of the Vinho Verde, a crisp, dry white wine (although as the name suggests, it is in fact green!) best enjoyed with a local fish dish.
Portugal itself is a small, fascinating country at the most Western point of mainland Europe. The capital, Lisbon, is known for its lively nightlife, with endless bars and clubs full of fun-loving locals and tourists alike, but also has plenty of fascinating history (check out Belem, jam-packed with monuments!) and undulating terrain, famously termed the ‘city of the seven hills'. From Lisbon, it is very quick to travel by the domestic high-speed train line to the city of Braga, which will connect you fairly quickly to Villa Anabela.
With a vast coastline with the powerful Atlantic Ocean, Portugal is a true paradise for the keen surfer, or indeed even those looking to try if for the first time. And for those less keen on surfing, the beaches of Portugal are still well worth a visit for their beautifully clear waters and fine sands.
