Town: The village of Lelant sits on the mouth of the Hayle estuary, with a large sandy beach to one side and a narrow strip of sandy coves accompanying the estuary water inland. Ideally placed for sightseeing, where you can jump on the branch line to St Ives for a day trip or drive across to the magical St Michael's Mount in Marazion. With beaches on both coasts easily accessible you will never be stuck for trips to the beach. The closest is Porthkidney Sands which can be reached on foot along the estuary which winds its way through sand dunes to where the River Hayle joins the Atlantic Ocean. Lelant has two pubs, a deli and restaurant and a golf course with outstanding views.
