Originally built at the end of the 18th century and recently refurbished by the D´Armiento family in Liberty / Art Nouveau style, Villa Margherita, with its lush garden and bright interiors, is a wonderfully peaceful and welcoming haven from the bustle of nearby central Sorrento.
Villa Margherita is accessed by a palm-lined driveway and enjoys a large garden, which has grassy areas and is landscaped with fountains, citrus, palm groves, succulents, and camellias.
There are sun loungers near the private swimming pool (11 x 5 meters, open April through October) and Jacuzzi. There is also a covered area with chairs, a table, and a gazebo (120 square meters) to enjoy an al fresco meal prepared on the nearby barbecue or pizza oven.
Inside the villa offers living accommodation over four floor levels. The ground floor is home to the main sitting room and kitchen-diner overlooking the impressive gardens. Seven spacious and stylish bedrooms each have their own en-suite bathroom and balcony or picture window to admire the views of Mount Vesuvius in the distance as well as satellite TV (one DVD player can be provided on request).
Well tucked away in the gardens, in a separate annex, there are two further double bedrooms meaning the villa can accommodate a party as large as 18 people. Extra beds can be added, despite its central location the grounds of the villa are extensive and certainly large enough to accommodate such a large group. The interior spaces of the Villa are of 500 square meters.

Ground floor: Living room with SKY TV LCD, couches, chairs, and access to the garden. There are two dining areas: one near the living room, and one near the kitchen.

The kitchen includes: Electric cooker, extractor hood, electric oven, microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, pots, pans and cutlery, coffee machines.

Each room has: 1 King bed (with sheets and pillowcases) 180 cm x 200 cm or 2 single beds, air conditioning, heating, magnifying mirror, hair dryer, toilet paper, towels, shampoo, bubble bath and soap, (non smoking rooms).

First floor: 1 bedroom of 21 square meters with 3 large windows overlooking the garden and sea, bathroom with shower + 1 bedroom of 32 square meters with balcony and terrace with garden view, bathroom with shower + 1 bedroom of 42 square meters with 2 terraces and 1 window with garden view, bathroom with bathtub.

Second floor: 1 bedroom of 21 square meters with 3 large windows with sea view, bathroom with shower + 1 bedroom of 32 square meters with balcony and window overlooking the garden, bathroom with shower + 1 bedroom of 42 square meters with 1 balcony and 2 windows with garden view, bathroom with bathtub and 2 sinks.

Third floor:1 bedroom of 20 sqm with 100 sqm terrace with outdoor shower, fantastic sea views, sun beds, bathroom with shower.

Ground floor Garden Annex: 2 bedroom of 25 square meters. Each room has 2 patio doors, bathroom with shower, garden with table, chairs, sun beds and outdoor shower.

Check-in procedure
Check-in time is between 3,00 and 8,00 p.m. You will be met and taken to the booked accommodation, asked for a photo copy of your Id or passport, any extras and the Breakage deposit (in cash only in any currencies) € 1.000,00 – this is refunded on your departure day, less any breakages.

We strongly recommend contacting our land agents the day before or early morning of your arrival day, to let them know how you intend getting to the resort and approximate arrival time, they will in this occasion be able to advise of any local fiestas, roads closed etc...

Check-out time is between 07:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

Arrival and departure times can be arranged outside these times for this service a supplement of € 55,00 is applied.

SERVICES INCLUDED: Waitress 4 hours per day 6 days a week, bed and bath change every 3/4 days, water, electricity, 4.000 square meters garden, swimming pool and Jacuzzi pool in the garden, solarium, wi-fi throughout the Villa indoor and outdoor, wood-oven for pizza, barbecue, air conditioning, heating, lift, parking, panoramic view sea and mountains, washing machine, iron and ironing board, DVD player, library, gardeners 2 times per week, pool and Jacuzzi cleaning, final cleaning.

Location
Centrally located to the amenities of Sant´ Agnello and Sorrento, Villa Margherita is also close to a little beach Marinella (accessible by an elevator).

Beaches, restaurants, and a bus stop are only minutes away from this villa’s gates, and the lovely resort town of Sorrento is just 1.5 kilometers away. Seaside Sorrento is famous for its limoncello (an alcoholic aperitif) and inlaid wood – its workshops were the first to start arranging small pieces of wood into intricate patterns, and you can visit one of the workshops still in operation today to see this centuries-old craft in action. Other attractions include the 10th century Basilica di San Antonio, which was built to honor the patron saint of navigators and still attracts sailors’ offerings to this day. The 11th century Cathedral houses frescoes and a bell tower with a ceramic clock. The "Sorrento Summer of Music" is also held at the cloisters from July to September, and features international musicians performing alongside of emerging talents. The towns of the Amalfi coast and the island of Capri make good day trips, and from Sorrento you can take a train to visit the famous archaeological sites at Pompeii and Herculaneum.

How to get there
Renting a car is not recommended for staying at Villa Margherita in Sant´Agnello as it is centrally located with shops and public transport in walking distance.
There are several ways to get to Sorrento from Naples Capodichino Airport or Naples Train station either by taxi / private transfer or by public transport.
There is a daily Bus Shuttle [?] form/to Naples Airport - Sorrento.

The easiest (and least stressful!) way is to arrange a private transfer directly to the property.

Once at the property you can get around fine without the car as parking in the towns is hard to come by and expensive. Public Sita Buses and Trains operate year-around, Ferries (from May to October) operate a service between Sorrento - Amalfi - Positano - Capri Island - Naples and Salerno.
