An unusual and thoroughly attractive property, La Casa di Franca is a hillside villa with a garden on multiple levels. The pool and house have great views of the surrounding fields and distant mountains. The lawns and patios provide plenty of sun and shade, and the terrace beside the first floor entrance is a perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal against a backdrop of a Tuscan Eden.

The interior is very striking. The kitchen-diner has a welcoming atmosphere, and two of the bedrooms occupy their own floor. The designs are modern, but subtle and elegant, all the while keeping the rustic countryside atmosphere intact. If guests wish to venture outwards, the town of Montevarchi is great for shopping, and if you head in the other direction, you’ll have easy access to the gorgeous towns of the Chianti regions, world famous for its food and wine.

Our Thoughts

This is a lovely getaway with a large garden and lush scenery. There are views of forests, fields and mountains, and all are visible from the sheltered terrace – where better to soak up the Tuscan lifestyle? We can also heartily recommend the town of Montevarchi which is only 6km away.

Notes

Bedroom 3 and Bedroom 4 each have their own staircase and there is no door separating Bedroom 4 from the rest of the house. Guests must take care on the open staircase.

The entrance to the property is up a flight of stone stairs.

This villa is semi-detached. There is a hedge between the two houses. These neighbours occasionally stay on-site on weekends or rent it. The pool and garden area of La Casa di Franca is only available to guests of La Casa di Franca and is not used by anyone else. The 2 properties have separate private areas and each one has its own private entrance. 

There are mosquito screens in every room.
