Description

This beautifully presented stone cottage is situated on the outskirts of Ryde, just a short 10-minute walk from the busy local shopping centre, filled with a multitude of independent shops, restaurants and Bars. Gwydyr house is only 500 metres from the sea, and the nearest beach is a pleasant stroll away, along the esplanade at Ryde Seafront.

The house is set back from the main road, within pretty, high walled grounds with a large private parking area to the front, leading down to the flower garden as you approach the front door.

The house has just been tastefully refurbished and has perfect mix modern kitchen and bathrooms, whilst still maintaining many of the original features of the cottage. The large Kitchen and breakfast area lead onto the extensive decking area of the garden, which has ample seating and dining areas including a rather unique circular thatched gazebo. The garden is fully enclosed, with a substantial lower lawned area, so ideal for dogs, who are welcome to stay in the house as the property is Pet Friendly. At the bottom of the garden, you’ll find a delightful summer house, which young children will love. The summer house can be made up for sleeping if the kids decide they want to ‘camp’ in the garden.

The inside of the house is very well presented with 3 bedrooms and a large family bathroom on the first floor. The master bedroom overlooks the pretty garden, has a king size bed and a smart TV. The 2nd double bedroom also has a TV. The twin bedroom has flexible ‘zip & link’ beds which can be set as singles or Super-King.

The area is excellent for transport links, with a bus stop just a few yards down the road and 2 passengers ferries to the mainland within walking distance.

The house provides a high-quality level of accommodation in a very popular coastal town, near sandy beaches and local attractions, and is the perfect base for your family holiday.

Ground Floor:
Porch for storing shoes, coats, umbrellas, etc leads into the large hallway and down a couple of steps to the rear of the house, the downstairs Shower room, modern kitchen and large living / dining room with ample seating for relaxing or dining. The living area also includes a Smart TV with Netflix and a Playstation 3 to keep the kids entertained.

First Floor:
The main bathroom features and shower over the bath, twin basins and WC. All 3 bedrooms have plenty of hanging space for clothes and the zip & link beds in the twin room provide flexible sleeping options.

Outside:
The large decking area has outdoor sofas and chairs arranged around a central table, in addition to a garden table & chairs and a soft seated gazebo area, providing a range of places to relax for everyone. There is also a Gas BBQ for guests use. The summer house at the end of the Garden does have a sofa bed and TV for escaping the rest of the family or providing more flexible sleeping arrangements. There is a small pond at the end of the garden, which can secured with a gate for those with small children.
