#### Location
Located in a residential area in Atalaia, just 3km from Lourinha, Villa Campones offers the best of both worlds; quiet serenity and convenience to the busier areas. Lisbon is within easy reach, and the beach is on your doorstep!

The Silver Coast is known for being cooler and fresher than The Algarve, thanks to the sea breeze blowing in off the ocean. Famous beaches include Santa Cruz, Baleal and Nazare; all sharing Praia del Rey's impossibly blue sea and glorious white sand.

During your stay, you have an excellent choice of day trips within easy reach of Villa Bom Vento. As well as a mecca for world-class surfers, Peniche is a hotspot for tourists wanting to visit the historical relics left behind since its time as a royal fortress and fishing port, the latter still active today. Be sure to sample the freshly caught seafood in a local restaurant at lunchtime.

Obidos, a small but charming town located inland, is also worth a visit. A morning's sightseeing can include a walk around the town walls, a visit to the twelfth-century castle and trip to see the beautifully tiled Porta da Vila chapel.

Also inland, Caldas da Rainha has been visited by tourists for hundreds of years, attracted by its natural springs and restorative hydrotherapy spa. A pretty garden and lake now occupy the site of what used to be a thermal hospital. Take in the Museu de Ceramica to learn more about Caldas da Rainha's ceramics heritage before heading back to Villa Bom Vento. Another favourite reason to visit Cascais is the Boca do Inferno, a rugged cliff formation which has taken a visible battering from the Atlantic and continued to do so. It's informally referred to as ‘Hell's Mouth' – visitors in winter will experience the full drama.

Sintra is historically rich and fascinatingly so, with numerous notable buildings. From the romantic Palacio da Pena to arabesque Palacio de Monserrate and gothic Palacio Nacional, the variety could keep you going for days. The surroundings are just as striking, providing beautiful and challenging conditions for hiking, rock climbing, cycling and the like.
