With an impressive range of leisure and wellness facilities, Villa Vau is a 7-bedroom property just a short drive from the coast. Located near Obidos and the beaches of Foz do Arelho, this villa can accommodate up to 13 guests and has its own covered, private pool, sauna and tennis court.

This villa is situated in the village of Vau, within an easy drive of the beach and golf course of Praia d'el Rey. Its own facilities include a private 10m x 5m swimming pool, available all year, and a sauna, whirlpool and steam bath. In addition, there's a children's playground and a furnished terrace and roof terrace, with sun loungers, parasols and a barbecue.

Villa Vau is also a particularly good choice for sports fans, with a tennis court, bikes, crazy golf and bowling facilities all available for your exclusive use.
The accommodation is split across two buildings, which provide comfortable living and dining areas with a rustic touch. There are kitchens in both buildings, comfortable seating areas with satellite TV, DVD and Wi-Fi, and a pool table and bar.
With its considerable capacity, this villa can easily accommodate a larger group. Seven elegantly furnished bedrooms are set across three floors – there are six rooms with queen-size beds and an additional single room. Four bathrooms serve the bedrooms, alongside an additional WC.

At just 8km from the centre of Obidos, Villa Vau is in just the right place for you to experience this popular medieval town. Also easily accessible are Caldas da Rainha with its romantic park and bustling market square, and the considerable delights of rugged Peniche, Europe's most westerly town. An excursion to Lisbon is also very doable – at around one hour's bus ride from Obidos, the capital boasts first-class attractions and an irresistible culture that you shouldn't miss experiencing first-hand.

#### Location
Portugal's Silver Coast, east of Lisbon, has no shortage of notable sights. One of the most popular in the region is medieval Obidos, a place with all the hallmarks of a tourist favourite – cobbled streets, a landmark castle and some stunning views as you walk along the walls of the Old Town.

Also look out for the Porta da Vila – an elaborate double gateway which leads you to the main shopping street, Rua Direita. Between the entrance and exit is an elaborate central area with some intricate art and architecture it's worth stopping to admire.
North of Obidos, the spa town of Caldas da Rainha is also worth a potter around – the church of Igreja de Nossa Senhora de Populo and the City Hall are just a couple of its notable buildings. The town's park, named after former monarch King Carlos I, is another pleasing discovery. Constructed in the late 19th century to complement the thermal hospital which stands alongside it, this is the ideal place for boat trips on the lake, picnics or walks in the woods.

The attractive coastal town of Foz do Arelho offers some of the area's best beaches, while Peniche can lay claim to being mainland Europe's most westerly town. Its exposed position on the Atlantic makes it a haven for surfers, and there's quite a history to discover at the town's fortress and the Municipal Museum which is now located there. A stunning, UNESCO-listed nature reserve on nearby Berlengas island, is also well worth visiting.
