Nice holiday house on two floors in the quiet village of Artò, near the spectacular Madonna del Sasso which is located on a rocky spur overlooking Lake Orta (5km). The house is located close to the Via Francigena which once saw passing pilgrims coming from the North. The area is ideal not just for hiking enthusiasts but also to explore the beautiful Orta (16km) from where boats leave for the near island of San Giulio, "the island of stone", a small medieval jewel, but also Arona (26km) and the beautiful Stresa (36km) on Lake Maggiore, from where trips to the Borromean Islands are possible. Lake Orta is for sports lovers a popular destination for practicing kitesurf and wake surf.
