Description

In Ferrara, a few steps away from Estense Castle, and from Palazzo dei Diamanti, there is Villa Horti della Fasanara, Luxury Boutique Hotel, one of the most romantic and fascinating places in the city, where history, art and nature stay together as one in an enchanted renaissance environment.
The Villa is located inside a park that once was the game reserve of Este aristocratic people, in an environment of rare beauty.
Surrounded by a 2.5 acres park, with ancient trees, Villa Horti della Fasanara represents an inspiration for any kind of event (parties, weddings, gala dining and so on).
Villa Horti della Fasanara is located in a place named by Ferrara’s Comune “The countryside inside ferrara’s renaissance walls” of the overall lenght of approximately 9 Km, along the cycle lane that, starting from the Porta degli Angeli (“Gate of Angels”), at the end of Corso Ercole I d’Este, characterized by a fortification dating back to 1525 known as the Casa del Boia (“House of the Executioner”) from where a long time ago one could spot the estense’s residences of Belfiore and Barchetto, continues along the embankment to Punta della Montagnola (“Tip of the little mountain”), a place often at the center of strange events, some real and some mythical, and then gets through a green area wich features several different gardens, to finally reach via delle Erbe and Piazza Ariostea, a symbol of the “Addizione Erculea” (“Ercole’s Addition” a set of costruction works ordered by Ercole I d’Este), dating back to the end of the 1400 and the beginning of 1500.
Villa Horti della Fasanara offers to his valued guests elegant bicycles with which they will appreciate Ferrara’s beauty in its entirety.
Villa Horti della Fasanara is composed of 4 suites and 2 high class double rooms, provided with all comforts and embellished with canopy beds and design furniture, chromotherapy, shower, air conditioning, mini – bar, Nespresso coffee machine, LED TV and radio system with the possibility to connect a personal mp3 player.
The rooms are named after the novel “Orlando Furioso” (1516-32) by Ludovico Ariosto (Reggio Emilia, September 8, 1474 – Ferrara, July 6, 1533), Italian poet and one of the most famous and influential writers of his time, whose father, Nicholas, of noble family, was part of the court of Duke Ercole I d’Este and commander of the garrison of the Este family in Reggio Emilia.
