Relax and admire the surrounding hills with vineyards, the ancient hamlet and the castle of Casalborgone. The green and traditional hills of the Monferrato are the home of hamlets and valleys to be explored, and this is the ideal area for those who want to escape from everyday stress. The Monferrato, declared World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, is the area of the Piedmont, which includes the provinces of Alessandria and Asti. In Asti (42 km), famous for the Palio, you can stroll through the streets of the picturesque old town and visit the Cathedral of Maria Assunta and the Baptistery of San Pietro. Do not miss a visit to the impressive Castle of Costigliole d'Asti (57 km), built before the millennium, or Burio Castle (60 km), dating back to 1300. For gourmets: during the harvest between September and October, the wineries organize Theme weekends, spend a day in the vineyards and in the evening enjoy an excellent dinner with wine and local culinary specialties. The beautiful city of Turin is 35 km away and the rice fields of Vercelli are about 30-35 km away and offer a picturesque view. The Via Francigena is only 10 km away, both historically and culturally interesting. The natural park of the Po is 6 km and the adventure park of Lake Candia 35 km away. Available to both accommodations is a sauna in an outdoor room accessible directly from the courtyard, ideal for relaxing after your excursions and trips in the surrounding area. A few kilometres from the property is a small zoo, a real fun for children, and a riding school which organizes horseback rides. The surrounding hills offer numerous trails, often in the woods, with routes for walking or mountain biking. At about 15 km distance, in the direction of Asti, is the Castello di Piea d'Asti, a private property, rich in furniture and surrounded by a large park which can be visited (a reservation is mandatory) with the possibility of a guide. At 45 km, Lake Viverone offers the possibility to practice water skiing with certified teachers, hire canoes, pedal boats and motor boats, and nice dancing clubs on its shores.
