This mid-terrace cottage is in the village of Castleton near to Buxton and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.

Eastry Cottage is a lovely mid-terrace cottage situated in the village of Castleton just ten miles from Buxton in the Peak District. The cottage sleeps four people in one double bedroom and one twin bedroom together with a family bathroom. Also in the cottage is a kitchen, and a sitting area with dining area and gas fire. Outside is roadside parking for one car and front and rear patios with furniture. Eastry Cottage is a delightful cottage to use as a base for exploring this lovely part of the country.

Amenities: Gas central heating with gas fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Roadside parking at front of property for 1 car on first come, first served basis. Front patio with furniture and rear raised patio with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 3 mins walk. Note: There are galvanised steel steps up to the rear raised patio, care should be taken and children supervised. Note: Restricted headroom on entry into twin bedroom. Note: No bike storage facilities at property so will need to leave bikes in front garden

Region: The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

Town: The outstandingly beautiful Peak District village of Castleton is situated at the top of the Hope Valley, on the doorstep of some great walking country. Steeped in fascinating history, the village boasts the Norman Peverill Castle Keep which is in a commanding position keeping an eye on the village and the National Park. The village is a draw to walkers and all manner of outdoor enthusiasts wanting to follow the paths, conquer the Winnats Pass or have a go at caving. Castleton is world-famous for its visitor caves and the beautiful semi precious stone Blue John which is only found and mined here. Castleton has a fabulous array of interesting little gift shops, some fantastic food pubs and an excellent Visitor Centre with its small museum explaining life in the Hope Valley, plus the Christmas lights and festive activities are very popular with visitors during December. Nearby are the pretty villages of Edale, the start of the Pennine Way, Hope and Hathersage with its seasonal outdoor swimming pool. Enjoy a day out at Alton Towers or visit the impressive Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. Also within easy reach are Buxton, Matlock Bath and Carsington Water, while further afield are the market towns of Ashbourne and Leek.
