On the eastern edge of Chianti, Villa di Capannole sits in a modest hamlet with open views of vineyards and countryside, edged by blue-green hills. Unsurprisingly, the property has won rave reviews from previous guests. With 3 charming bedrooms, generous comfortable reception rooms, three covered and perfectly furnished terraces, and a substantial beautiful private pool, it easily absorbs groups of up to 6 people.

While the poolside with a covered Jacuzzi and outdoor dining table, under a flower-scented pergola, are sure to be favourite spots for the whole party, the villa is also dotted with comfy sofas and smaller tables that will create memorable chilled-out moments for individual members of the group. You will happily spend plenty of time here. When you do venture out, there is much to enjoy close to hand, whether you head into the wine-producing Chianti heartland, with its popular hilltop villages such as Gaiole and Castellina, or turn towards the dazzling cultural treasures of Arezzo, Siena and Florence.

Our Thoughts

The owners have done a lot to ensure guests of Villa di Capannole will be super-relaxed. Everything here feels generous, from the substantial pool and immaculately kept garden to the open interiors offset by substantial furnishings and gentle, ochre-washed walls - and let's not forget the spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. If that's not enough to switch your 'off' button, you have a Jacuzzi, compact sauna and spa area as well - so why not book an on-site massage? The heated pool, open fireplace and wonderfully comfortable interiors also make this a great low-season option.

3 bedrooms. 4 bathrooms, 2 en-suite. The garden is hedged but the pool is unfenced. It is possible to book a massage and health treatments in advance for additional costs. The owners produce a selection of red/white wines, prosecco and olive oil which are available for guests to purchase on site.

Parking - On site



Pool

The pool is located in the garden, surrounded by paving and grass and furnished with loungers with overhead shades and parasols. The water can be accessed by Roman steps. On one side of the pool area is a pergola furnished with table and chairs, and on the other is a second pergola furnished with rattan sofa and two armchairs. Next to the pool you will find the covered Jacuzzi and the sauna. Pool Size: 6m x 14m, 1.4m deep. Open all year. The swimming pool can heated for an extra charge, from 1st June to 15th September. Depending on the weather, the water temperature can be between 25° and 27° Celsius.
