Description

A pretty stone-built villa encircled by forests and exquisite gardens with fragrant herbs. Literally translating to “Valley of the Sun”, Valle del Sole is a stunning destination. With lots of outdoor space and close to Brolio Castle, the unique Italian countryside will be on your doorstep. The exterior is dotted with sage and rosemary - perfect for adding flavour to a home-cooked Italian meal, made with fresh produce from the village of Pianella located just 5km away. There are a variety of places to sit outside and soak up the sights, sounds and scents, whether it’s under the shady oak tree or lounging with a book and a coffee on the front terrace.



The front terrace has a wrought-iron table with eight chairs, and is just in front of the kitchen, making al fresco dining a breeze. A wooden bench is situated just outside the living room area. The interior features spacious living areas, with terracotta floors, high exposed-wood ceiling beams, and comfortable furniture. The kitchen is decorated in a country style and features a wooden table with six chairs. There’s enough room and comforts for everyone here. Just 16km from Siena, it’s also ideally positioned for sightseeing trips as well as lazy days in the garden.

Our Thoughts

The countryside environment at Valle del Sole is to die for. This villa allows plenty of places to enjoy the peace and quiet, whether it’s swimming in the crystal-clear pool, lounging beside it in the shade, or sat at the elegant terrace beside the house. The interior of the villa is homely but unique, with décor that manages to be both tasteful and subtly unusual. The bottom line, however, is that Valle del Sole is an authentic and comfortable Tuscan retreat set in a perfect example of a rural Italian paradise.

There is a hay-barn on-site which is used to store the owner’s lemon trees during the winter months. This building cannot be used for accommodation and cannot be accessed.

Pool

The pool is chlorine free and is furnished with sunloungers and a parasol. Roman steps lead down from the side of the water. One side of the pool is shaded by an oak trees, under which there are sunloungers and a table with a pair of chairs.

Salt-water pool measuring 6 x 12 metres with a depth of 1.50 – 2.0 metres. Open from May to September, weather permitting.
