Description

The Old Tea Shop Self-catering Holiday Cottage is a converted Sweet Shop/Tea Room. The cottage comfortably sleeps 4 people with 2 en-suite bedrooms.

Wood-fired Hot Tub available (extra charge) we must be notified the day before arrival, the hot tub will be lit and ready for your arrival.

The cottage is an ideal base for exploring Scotland's Northern Wilderness, situated inbetween the lovely town of Thurso and the famous John-O-Groats, ideally positioned for people taking trips to the Orkney Islands via Gills Bay Ferry.

It comprises of a large open-plan living Area/Kitchen featuring wood-burning stove, Belfast Sink, Large flat Screen 3D Television & Blueray DVD Player also Wi Games Console. Oil-fired Rayburn, Central Heating, Leather Corner Suite, Welsh Dresser and traditional furnishings, exposed beams,.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all crockery, microwave, electric oven, washer/dryer/dishwasher etc. Wifi is complimentary throughout the cottage. Supply of complimentary logs, further logs available for purchase.

The bedrooms are both en-suite and have exposed beams with rustic style furnishings both have Television.
The double en-suite bedroom comprises of Victorian Style Bedstead, Wardrobe/Dressing Table, Linen & Towels. Free-standing Victorian Bath, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet and Shower.

Twin en-suite bedroom comprises of 2 single Victorian Style Bedsteads, Wardrobe/Dressing Table Linen & Towels, Large Shower, Basin & Toilet.

The Old Tea Shop has it's own parking area and enclosed garden with garden furniture. The courtyard area to the front has old-fashioned lamp posts and is surrounded by large mature fir trees.

The cottage welcomes children over the age of 13 years .
Bookings are taken for nightly stays, short breaks & full weeks.

It is a wonderful mixture of dramatic landscapes & stunning scenery from wild cliffs & tiny islands to lonely moorland and remote sandy beaches. It is a haven to birdwatchers, fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts, whatever you decide to do we are sure you will want to return.

Visit Dunnet Head - Britains most northernly point - hear you can see the most spectacular wildlife you will probably ever see - puffins - eagles - otters - seals - deer and much more!
Also visit the Castle of Mey - The Queen Mothers former residence it is just a mile from the cottage with spectacular visitor centre and wonderful gardens.
