Set in the beautiful parish of Pylle in scenic Somerset is Shepton House, a stunning Georgian manor that combines modern luxury and historic charm. This tastefully renovated property sleeps up to twelve guests across six bedrooms (or up to fourteen guests with the addition of Z beds), and boasts features such as roll top baths and king size beds, a games room, and hot tub, all located within private rural surroundings.

Upon entering Shepton house guests will be struck by it's grand design, high ceilings, and spacious rooms. The main living area is decorated in neutral shades and features comfy modern-style sofas in a soft cream and turquoise. The ground floor also houses a cosy snug - a slightly smaller room that still features those large windows showcasing picturesque views. In this room guests can enjoy sumptuous leather sofas adorned with an array of plump cushions, fluffy rugs and rustic wooden furniture, as well as a wood burner and flat screen TV.

Shepton House boasts a stunning breakfast room which is ideal for light entertaining, a beautiful wooden 14-seater table complete with chairs upholstered in the softest silver, takes pride of place. For a less formal dining experience the open plan kitchen/diner offers seating for 11 at a round wooden table surrounded by chairs in cheery shades of red, blue and yellow. The whole space has a modern country cottage vibe and the charm of the natural stone flooring and farm animal prints combine seamlessly with the stunning gas AGA and American style fridge-freezer. The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped with plenty of food preparation areas and storage space, as well as a dishwasher and electric oven.

This incredible property boasts six large bedrooms, including one master that features a 6ft super king size bed. The other five rooms, one of which is located on the ground floor with a shower room situated opposite, all feature beautiful king size beds, or twin beds. Each bedroom is tastefully decorated in neutral shades of cream and white, with crisp white linens and soft light-coloured carpets. The property's four bathrooms, two of which are en-suite, are equally luxurious and feature stunning roll-top baths and walk-in showers, as well as beautiful wall art, wooden or decorative tile flooring, and ornately-framed mirrors.

If there are any budding singers within your group, they will delight in Shepton House's renovated cellar area, which is complete with a karaoke machine, as well as comfy colourful bean bags to lounge in, and an unstocked bar area - all ready for you and your guests to furnish with your favourite tipples! Another incredible feature of this stunning Georgian property is the games room, complete with pool table, darts and table tennis. This unique space offers a homely living-room vibe, with a small table and chairs, as well as cosy sofa - perfect to sink into and relax while you await your turn.

Stepping outside into the vast gardens that surround Shepton House, guests can take in the breathtaking views of the stunning Somerset countryside. Surrounded by low stone walls offering a degree of security and privacy, the property has plenty of spacious lawn areas as well as a large raised patio area with table and chairs and bbq facilities, ideal for alfresco dining. The jewel in the crown is the luxurious hot tub, ideal for winding down after a long day, and watching the sun set over the rolling fields while enjoying a glass of something bubbly.

#### Location
Shepton House is located in the idyllic rural village of Pylle, just 4 miles south-west of Shepton Mallet in the Mendip district of Somerset. The village offers country pubs serving hearty fare, and traditional ciders, and the local farm shop is just a short walk from the property and is bursting with local produce for you to try. Heading in to Shepton Mallet itself means entering the festival capital of the UK, with its annual programme including the Snowdrop Festival, the rural and agricultural jamboree that is the Royal Bath & West Show, the Mid-Somerset Show, and the Collett Festival - and that's without mentioning the nearby Glastonbury Festival of course!

This ancient market town is also well known for its cider-making, and its prison; closed in 2011 it had been the UK's oldest operating prison and this Grade II listed building is now open to the public for tours. Kilver Court Gardens are also situated in the town, and these small but lush gardens, girdled by the Charlton Viaduct, are well worth a visit to see it's exotic trees and flowers, waterfalls, streams, and dovecotes. Those seeking a more cosmopolitan flavour will be interested to learn that the town was the centre of production for a number of leading UK brands, including the locally founded fashion house Mulberry, whose former factory is now a designer outlet village selling premium brands at discount prices.
