Description

A charming, homely villa with enviable ocean views, Villa Junta is just a few minutes' walk from a lovely beach. There are five cosy bedrooms and a very spacious lawn where guests can relax and play games together. A shaded outdoor lounge with a sofa and colourful cushions looks out over the greenery, dotted with endless vibrant flowers and plants.

There are also sun loungers that guests can use - from here, you can gaze out at the sea. The garden at this villa is a truly idyllic spot to reconnect with nature. The exteriors of the property are a shade of warm peach, with a terracotta roof. There are three porches around the villa and several of the bedrooms have their own private balconies.

A charming yet compact dining space has a traditional stone barbecue and informal wooden bench seating. Vintage-style decoration like straw hats and plates hang on the wall. This area also opens out onto the terrace. The kitchen is a more modern affair - fully equipped with an oven, microwave and lots of cupboard space.

The cosy living room has chocolate coloured leather sofas and bright chairs that pop against the cream walls. Floor to ceiling windows ensure the space is bathed in natural light and allows fresh air in. Lots of textures - like cosy throws and wicker chairs - collide to create a homely vibe. There is a fireplace, perfect for cuddling up under a blanket by on winter evenings.

The five lovely bedrooms at this villa are all decorated in a rustic-chic style with different coloured walls, including sunny yellow, coral, baby blue and cream. There is a range of antique-style wooden furniture and tiled floors. One of the bedrooms has its own sun terrace with sea views.

Four of the bedrooms have double beds, and the fifth has twin beds that can be pushed together if required. Elegant accessories like lanterns and canvas art adds character, while fresh flowers brings a touch of nature indoors. Bathrooms at this villa either have a bathtub or a stylish sculpted glass-encased shower. There are large mirrors and plenty of space for getting ready.

#### Location
This villa is located in the A Coruna area, part of the Costa de Morte of Galicia. It's just a few minutes' walk from a lovely beach, which you can see from the villa. You'll find shops, restaurants and bars 200m away, while the city of A Coruna itself is 9km away. There's plenty of things to see and do in and around town.

Drive down the coast to check out Cabo Fistrerra, once considered the end of the world for those walking the famous Camino de Santiago trail. A great spot for sunset, Fistrerra has a charming lighthouse and is the most westerly point of Spain.

A gorgeous beach close to the villa is Oza, considered one of the best urban beaches in the area. There is also a marina here with a promenade to stroll along. With fine golden sand and calmer water that curves like a bay, this beach is popular with locals and tourists alike.

However, the famous beach in the A Coruna area is Riazor beach, a blue-flag curve of golden sand around the peninsula, with excellent surf and beach sports to play like volleyball. You'll find all the usual beach amenities here and you can walk along the shore to Orzan beach at low tide. Orzan is an edgier area behind the coast, with lots of cool shops to explore.

A Coruna itself is known as the Crystal City, because of its 'galerias' - enclosed glass balconies that usually incorporate stained glass. The fascinating square of Maria Pita is in the centre of town - a great example of Galician architecture. Visit the Domus, an interactive museum that focuses on the human body - with over 200 exhibits about genetics, humanity and evolution. On Wednesdays and Saturdays there is a great flea market where you can rummage for treasure to take home as a souvenir.

The Estrella Brewery is a must-see for beer aficionados - either wander around the eight interactive exhibits independently or take a guided tour. Learn about the history and composition, as well as enjoying five samples and a complimentary draught beer.

The Hercules Lighthouse boasts an amazing panoramic view of the Costa de Morte. Perched on rocks at the entrance of A Coruna Harbour, it is the only functioning lighthouse from the Roman era. As the sea here is so choppy, ships crossing the Atlantic Ocean relied on the lighthouses all along the coast to stay safe.
