Description

Turn right by the evergreen oak and follow the leafy lane to The Mill Barn. Here on the banks of a gently flowing stream is a secluded retreat. A natural stone barn surrounded by a neat flagstone patio with seatings and green lawn. A lavender-fringed path winds down to a stone bench at the edge of the garden jutting out into the stream where you can sit and dangle toes in the water and spot fish. You may even catch the iridescent blue flashes of the kingfisher darting down the stream. Ideal for viewing the sunset and to relax quietly.
You enter through a vintage oak door into a stunning living/kitchen area that reaches up to the apex. The walls are white and the floors oak. Fresh yellow bar stools at the kitchen island, a medieval chair with stage lighting, a porthole window on the landing and a large wood burner in the corner. The beautiful kitchen at the far end sits under a chunky horizontal wood beam.
The double room downstairs has a cast iron bedstead. Open the Velux in the twin room upstairs for a view over the fields.
A peaceful hideaway where the sound of chirruping birds and babbling water break the silence.

The open plan kitchen-dining–living space is full of light and height. It is tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings, a large wood burner and lots of original charm. A well equipped kitchen with cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave is conveniently positioned around a centre island.
