Description

This lovely converted Granary has use of an outdoor pool and sleeps up to three people in one bedroom.

Between Glastonbury and Bridgwater, the small village of Edington on the edge of the Polden Hills and Somerset Levels, is an excellent spot for exploring this historic and beautiful part of England. The open landscape is perfect for cycling, bird watching, fishing and walking, and The Quantocks, the Mendips and the cities of Bath and Wells are all within easy reach. The Granary is within the grounds of the owner's' extensive home and is a super holiday cottage. Pristine gardens conceal a solar heated plunge pool (available 1st May until August) by prior arrangement with the owner). The living space is open plan with lofty ceilings, feature stone walls and glazed doors which look over the garden. From the neat kitchen, steep stairs lead to the bright and airy bedroom on the mezzanine.

Amenities: Night storage heating. Electric cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer. TV/DVD, WiFi. Bed linen and towels included free of charge. Off road parking for two cars. Lawned garden with paved patio area, shared with owner. Regret no pets. No smoking. Solar heated swimming pool available from May to August - shared with the owners. Shop 200 yards. Pub 1 mile. Beach 15 miles. Note: The solar heated pool is only available between May, June, July and August.

Region: Somerset offers 3 areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the Quantock, Mendip and Blackdown Hills. Lose yourself in the glory of nature, take a ride on a steam train, visit a traditional farmer's' market or explore your mystical side at Glastonbury.

Town: Bridgwater is a popular destination with a shopping centre. Close to the Mendip Hills and the Quantocks, the town has historical buildings, a selection of restaurants and pubs and is notable for the Bridgwater Illuminated Carnival in November. Cheddar is a few miles away, as is Glastonbury. The wetland areas surrounding Bridgwater are known for wildfowl and birds. Nearby Shapwick Heath is an example of a wetland nature reserve worth a visit, as is the Steart Marshes on the Bridgwater Bay National Nature Reserve. Bridgwater offers a variety of activities and is conveniently placed for all visitors.
