Description

When you're booking that precious time away on holiday, you want it to be as relaxing as possible, right? Well, look no further than the pretty terracotta-coloured Casa La Pieve. Aside from the fact it's a perfect family holiday villa, there's a hotel, restaurant and spa a few minutes walk away, for the ultimate in entertainment and relaxation.
Casa La Pieve is part of the Villa La Borghetta estate, an ancient building that began life in the 1300's as a watchtower - a beautiful place to walk around when you fancy a little explore. But, if you just want to hang out in your space, be our guest. Casa La Pieve is as warm and inviting as it gets.
Terracotta and pastel hues give off a warm glow to the walls and floors, which combined with traditional wooden beams on the ceiling is instantly welcoming. The open plan living room, which leads out into the bright hallway and intimate dining area is particularly characterful with beams, arched doorways and stylish furnishings. Cook up an Italian feast and serve it out on the large furnished table leading out from the lounge to make the most of those beautiful grounds the property benefits from.
This secluded villa benefits from enchanting views of the Valdarno valley, stretching from Florence to Rome. And, surrounding the villa are ancient olive groves, vineyards, lovely grounds and of course, a private swimming pool - fun for everyone.
Venture upstairs and the arrangements of bedrooms on offer should suit all requirements. Sleeping up to 12 people in five rooms, there's lovely four-poster doubles, twin bedrooms with terracotta walls and ornamental bedsteads and family rooms for parents with younger children or children sharing together. For a multi-generational holiday, Casa La Pieve makes life very easy. The bathrooms are plentiful too, all with chic tiled floors and one with a full-size Whirlpool tub and shower.

#### Location
There are many over-used descriptions associated with Tuscany; rolling green hills, lyrical landscapes, enchanting hilltop towns, iconic cities and incredible food. The thing is, they're all absolutely correct.
Tuscany, in central Italy, is a region of jaw-dropping beauty - to the point of having to pinch yourself to believe it's actually real. Driving, walking or cycling around its lush countryside of sunflower fields, cypress tree-lined winding pathways and undulating hills is an experience in itself. And that's before you've set foot in any one of its eye-popping medieval hilltop towns or cities. Take Florence - the city of art, with its impressive dome, towers and beautiful architecture. Home to museums of extraordinary renaissance art - check out the Uffizi and from Villa La Borghetta you'll be there in no time.
For other day trips out, discover the amazing cities of Arezzo, Pisa with its leaning tower, the medieval maze of walls surrounding Siena and the beautiful city of towers, San Gimignano. Perhaps wander around the pretty hilltop towns of Cortona and Montepulciano, eating at delightful trattorias, spending long afternoons lazing in their piazzas, soaking up the valley views that stretch out beneath you.
Why not visit the renowned Chianti district for a spot of wine tasting, or visit Siena for the famous Palio horse race. Tuscany has to be seen to be believed, and fortunately, from your holiday home at Villa La Borghetta, you have the options of seeing all of these. The hard bit is going to be deciding what to see... Good luck!
