Once you have walked through the stunning grounds of Pitscandly Farm and admired the deer, you could then venture further afield and discover all that Angus has to offer. The Murton Farm, Tea Room and Nature Reserve is just 2 miles way and is a god place to stroll around and spot the local wildlife. Alternatively, why not visit the traditional market town of Forfar and browse through the museum to learn all about the history of this interesting area?

Around 6 miles away you will find the peaceful Pitmuies Gardens, where you can take a gentle walk and admire the flora and fauna. The formidable 14th-century Castle of Glamis is 8 miles away and is well worth a visit, particularly for history buffs. A family day out can be had at nearby Brechin, with the Brechin Castle Centre and Caledonian Railway, all of which can be reached in under 10 miles. If you’d like some sand and sea, then Arbroath and Montrose can be reached in under 16 miles. No matter what the weather, this wonderful area of Scotland has something for everyone. Beach 14½ miles.
