Description

Set at the far end of the owner's garden with beautiful views of the hills beyond, Outbak is a charmingly appointed shepherds hut with a wood-fired hot tub. This peaceful spot is perfect for walkers with the Cotswold Way footpath less than half a mile away and a multitude of walks close by.

As you step inside, you'll find a light, airy and thoughtfully appointed space. There's a large, very comfortable king-size bed that fills one end of the hut along with two easy chairs, a sleek kitchen area with a Belfast sink and a shower room at the opposite end. Outbak has central heating with thermostatically controlled radiators so even in the coldest of weather you'll stay warm and toasty.

Outbak sits within its own private decked area with beautiful views and big skies. The wood-fired hot tub is screened on three sides for privacy, there's a bistro table for two and it's a lovely place to enjoy a quiet morning coffee as the birds soar overhead. The deck becomes a real suntrap in the summer months as the sun moves around and occasionally in the distance you might spot the single jet gravity fed fountain as it shoots 300 metres into the air at Stanway House.Inside

A set of steps lead to a hinged stable door which opens into a delightfully appointed open-plan sleeping, kitchen-dining area. The white-washed interior is calm and peaceful, the pale wooden floor adds a hint of colour whilst a gentle glow comes from the decorative filament lightbulbs that provide lighting throughout.

Sleeping Area:
The super-comfy king-size bed is on a raised platform and there's a cunningly hidden step beneath. Lie here and enjoy the blissful, rural views through the large window. Early birds can also draw the blind and watch the sun rising over the hills beyond. Soft linens and plump pillows make this a cosy and inviting space. A wide shelf runs along the top of the bed and there's hanging storage space at the top of the bed, where you'll also find robes and slippers. A smart TV is mounted above the bed so you can just relax and catch up on your favourite box sets.

Living-Dining-Kitchen Area:
Two mid-century-style wooden chairs with cushions and cosy throws sit on either side of a small drinks table, against the other wall a fold-down table with two spindle back chairs provide a place for breakfast and easy meals. A jute rug adds a hint of colour to the space and there is also a multi-hook rack for hanging clothes.

The kitchenette area is fitted with pale grey, shaker style cupboards housing all the practical things needed for a shepherd's hut stay. There's a microwave and fridge with a freezer box and a two-ring electric hob. Even washing up seems less of a chore when you're stood at the window of your own cute Shepherds hut, looking out at the beautiful countryside beyond.

Bathroom:
The beautifully appointed shower room is at the far end of the hut and comprises a surprisingly spacious shower cubicle with a rainfall shower, a vintage-style raised toilet cistern with pull chain and an oval handbasin that sits atop a cupboard with storage beneath. There is a good size bathroom mirror and natural light from the window to the side. The towel rail hangs over the radiator ensuring warm, dry towels every time.

Outside

The wood-fired hot tub is the perfect place to rest weary bones after a day of exploring, relax amongst the bubbles and feel your cares drift away. Outbak sits on its own private decked area and the hot tub is screened for privacy. On sunny days take a little time out for an afternoon snooze in the reclining loungers. There's also a bistro table and chairs, perfect for morning coffees or evening sundowners. This beautiful setting is just under 3 miles from Winchcombe and the Cotswold Way footpath is less than 0.5 miles away.

Hayles Abbey Halt on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway is literally on your doorstep, watch the steam trains chuffing between Cheltenham and Broadway, or check the timetable and see if you can flag a train down and hop on. Hayles Abbey Halt is a request stop so you just stand on the platform and raise your hand (we can't guarantee however that they will always stop)!
