Original holiday house in La Sassa, in the hills of Pisa, 30 km from Volterra and 30 km from the beaches of Marina di Cecina on the Tyrrhenian Sea. The accommodation is located in a historic tower of the year 1000, overlooking the hamlet and the valley. It extends over three floors; bathroom with bathtub and jacuzzi shower. Absolutely original layout of the interiors: narrow stairs and narrow passages, typical of an authentic medieval castle and of great charm. 17 km the characteristic medieval hamlet of Montecatini Val di Cecina. The hilly area is bordered by the forest area Magona with a dense network of marked hiking and biking trails through the charming landscape. Only 30 km away the Etruscan coast with its wide sandy beaches and pine forests. Worth a visit is the medieval town of San Gimignano (40 km) with its family towers, UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. Within easy reach are cities of art such as Siena (40 km) with the impressive shell-shaped Piazza del Campo where the famous historical horse race Palio di Siena is held twice a year; 70 km Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance, but also a true shopping paradise with its numerous shops and workshops. The rooftop terrace is not accessible.
