This ground floor home 140m2 was Lina’s, the grandmother’s house with a bedroom for each of her three children when they visited her. With ensuite bathrooms, her children could enjoy their privacy, whilst in the communal spaces a large living room and a 10 seater dining room table, was the perfect setting for Lina to cook for her children and grand children their favourite childhood meals.

With respect towards the local vernacular architecture this residence was redesigned in order to provide all the luxury amenities of the 21st century. Luxury beds with very comfortable American mattresses, tastefully picked furniture and décor. Heating, cooling and domestic hot water are provided by 100% by renewable sources of energy. The old wooden doors were restored and windows have had double glazing installed. An excellent amenity of Tinas Home is the private hammam (steam bath), a special luxury for our guests. Outside the house, right on the doorstep, a small herb garden, a lemon tree and Taygetos aromatic plants, provide fresh ingredients for homemade traditional Greek recipes.

Linas Home 140m2 (ground floor) along with the Tinas Home 100m2 (first floor) comprise the Country Home. Available as independent luxury residences and alternatively, they can be used as a single 240 sq.m. with two independent entrances.

Located in a residential neighborhood of Kalamata, walking distance from the centre, and the local beach. This neighborhood was once an endless orange and lemon grove, the City Cottage along with its neighboring houses has preserved the old homes and gardens to give a unique view of traditional hospitality in Kalamata and the south of Greece.

The Linas Home is a part of Kalamata Mediterranean Villas. The accommodation has been declared to the Greek National Tourism Organization under the notification number 1055278.000

The Rooms
Linas home has four bedrooms all with double beds and working desks, bedside tables and wardrobes. Also one of the bedrooms has en - suite bathroom. Linas home has also hammam and in the living room is a sofa bed


The Location
The neighborhood has a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, and is ideal for walks in the city, as it is in walking distance (7-10 min) to both the city center and the beach of Kalamata.
