Pilgrims Rest features 3 beautiful, award winning unique cottages, formed from the historical barns of The Old Manor Farmhouse; a 16th Century property rated Nationally Important by English Heritage. Brimming with history yet combined with modern day luxuries, some stand out extras from the norm and found, not in the middle of nowhere but situated on England’s ‘English Riviera’, in one of Torquay’s villages, Barton, Devon.

Opened for guests since 2009, now 7 time finalists for the Top Self-Catering Establishment and Dog Friendly Business on the gorgeous English Riviera & South Devon (2012-2019) they welcome guests year round and offer flexibility to cater for all types of party from the individual to couple, families and extended family or friends together.

Whilst we have the great outdoors within minutes of our door step, the cottages also come with secure court yard, orchard garden, and main garden including sun loungers and BBQs with each cottage having its own beautiful garden area just in case you feel like staying home, whilst inside TVs, BT super-fast Wifi, access to Netflix, comfy settees and cosy, warm rooms.

Found in one of the villages of Torquay called Barton on The English Riviera, past guests have found them in an ideal location with ease of access to an excellent array of local shops within a stroll, countryside within 500 yards, beaches and coast walks within 1-2 miles and a multitude of restaurants, country inns, man-made and natural attractions within a 1- 5 mile radius. With our own designed information folders linked to our local map, gems are revealed for all tastes, from young to old, eating in or out, full of action or not.

Sweet Rose is all about relaxing and unwinding. As you enter this lovingly restored cottage, you will find everything you need for a cosy space for two people. The open plan ground floor layout includes a sofa, dining table and kitchen area, while spiral stairs take up upstairs to the bedroom where you will find a super king size bed a a gorgeous roll top bath to enjoy a luxuriating soak with a glass of wine or champagne.
