Description

Troutbeck Valley Cottage is a welcoming family home, picture perfect with it's traditional white walls and attractive surroundings. It has kept some of it's classic 17th century features, such as the oak beams, alcove walls and wood-burning fireplace. But it has also been renovated to include some of the modern necessities.

An oak door leads into the entrance hall, when you enter the living area you'll be swept back in time thanks to the oak beams and wood-burning fireplace. The room is neutral in colour scheme, but warm! It is a room that will welcome you in with a hug and invite you to relax in the deep comfortable sofas. It has a lovely window with bay seating that allows you to look out into the garden, moreover there is a door that leads to the garden from the living area.

The next room is a kitchen / dining area. The kitchen itself keeps its neutral colours, using black, white and grey for the fittings. You'll find an Aga at its heart, as well as a modern oven. The kitchen is fully equipped with all of the modern appliances necessary, and thanks to a glass conservatory add on, it also has a family dining area. Thanks to the glass walls, you'll always have the stunning views of the surroundings, so whether you're relaxing here for food, or reading a book with a hot drink first thing in the morning, the views will be a spectacular back drop. If the family gathered here, it's the perfect place to entertain as it's right next to the kitchen making flitting between preparing meals and joining in on the fun easy! There is an additional dining room, warmer in decor that offers a more formal setting. The ground floor also has a cloakroom and utility room.

There are five bedrooms, they're large and feature splendid brass beds except for the twin room which is a perfect additional room for those kids that want to feel as grown up as the adults! One of the rooms has a luxury en-suite bathroom! There is a house bathroom on this floor with a double ended bath and a shower attachment, in addition to the separate power shower cubicle.

The gardens offer the chance to relax outside in the stunning surroundings with garden furniture provided. The property is walled, and on the outside of the wall is the rest of the stunning landscape ready to be explored! Rolling hills, trees, fields to run through, plenty of chances to enjoy all that the Lake District has to offer.
