This cosy cottage is situated in the beautiful valley of Bjórsardalur, 2.5 km away from the small town of Árnes. It is located just 100 km away from Reykjavik and 55 km away from the small town of Selfoss, so you can explore the capital and the immediate surroundings. You must definitely visit the famous volcano Hekla which is located not far from the house. Why not take a ride on the back of Iceland horses or go on a trip to the islands of Vestmannaeyar? A drive along the 'Golden Circle' which covers Geysir, Gullfoss, Thingvellir and the Skaftafell National Park is a must. The town of Geysir derives its name from geysers, a natural phenomenon found here. The Gullfoss waterfall, is the largest waterfall in Europe, while Thingvellir is the old Parliament city. After returning home, you can enjoy a warm bath and relax on the terrace. A swimming pool is available 3 km away and the nearest supermarket is 2.5 km away.
