Description
This cosy wooden house is located in a small forest in Mýrar, just 16 km away from Laugarvatn and 115 km away from Reykjavik. It is ideally situated for day trips in the southern and western Iceland. This is the right choice for those who are interested in geysers. The town Geysir, which is named after this natural phenomenon, is situated nearby. In Reykjavík - Iceland's capital - there are many exciting attractions, which are perfect for a day trip. You can drive along the world-famous 'Golden Circle' and explore Geysir and Thingvellir, where the old parliament met between 930-1798. You can also visit the great Gullfoss waterfall and the National Park Skaftafell. Here you can ride, enjoy fishing, hiking and maybe even watch the whales in the ocean from the shore. Whale safaris can be arranged for those who want to see the whales up close. After an eventful day you can relax in a warm bath on the terrace of the house. The nearest swimming pool and shop are located 16 km away.
