Description

Romantic little cottage the hedge of a dell in the oak woods of the Natural Park of Montemarcello. Perfect for forays into the Cinque Terre or nearby villages and a wonderful place to stay at home, lounging in a hammock stretched between the trees. 
Concara has been converted to be perfect for a couple, with a bedroom on the top floor, and a living room, shower-room and kitchen on the ground floor. 
A small sofa in the living room converts into a bed should you wish to book it for three, but space will be tight. The kitchen and dining has been built in a glass extension to the main building, making a wonderful luminous space to cook in. 
A lawn stretches out in front of the kitchen, bordered by low limestone drystone walls that are used all around to terrace the hillside.
Next to our terraced Cabernet Franc vineyard you can enjoy our 10m x 3m shared pool with 4 sun beds and a balinese bed.

We produce a fine organic red wine called 'Margot'
Concara is provided with a cosy and efficient wood stove. Wood logs are free of charge.
Central heating is available but not included. A meter reading will determine the cost (€4 per m3). Alternatively a forfait amount can be quoted.

- Pian della Chiesa is an 8 hectares estate that sits on top of the Caprione peninsula, 900 meters from the Mediterranean and 350 meters above sea level. 
It has different accommodation solutions: Murella (host 6), Dolina (host 6), Dolinetta (host 4), Bungalow (host 4) and Concara (host 2).
It is in an ideal position for exploring the hill villages and coast of the Cinque Terre, Liguria and Northern Tuscany. 
Set in a Natural Park that is mainly made up of typical Mediterranean woods of umbrella pines, helms and Turkish oaks, woven with paths, and bordering the beautiful and steep coastline of Southern Liguria. It is ideally set for exploring the small villages on the coast, with delicious fish restaurants and hidden coves from which to swim. 
The Cinque Terre are easily reachable, with miles of walking paths on the craggy coastline, punctuated by villages clinging to the edge of the coast, with steep vineyards where the grapes are collected in mini-funicular train arrangements. 
Alternatively you might head east, towards the Apennines and the Apuan Alps, made of the famous Carrara marble so loved by Michelangelo. Deep valleys hold traces of the Romans and of the ancient indigenous population called the Lunis. The mountains also harbour delicious restaurants and charming villages worth exploring. 
The classic cities of Tuscany are also not far away, with Pisa and Lucca around an hour away, while Florence is just under 2 hours.
