Vista da Praia, perched above the village of Ponta do Sol, offers outstanding ocean views and a tranquil setting for your peaceful holiday break to Madeira. Here you will find the front veranda and garden, perfect for either catching the sun, eating alfresco or simply enjoying a drink whilst appreciating the tranquillity and superb views. The villa has three lovely bedrooms; the master bedroom (with ensuite) opens up to the terrace to also benefit from the wonderful views. The second double and twin bedrooms share a full bathroom. In addition, on the first floor you will find a leisure/games room complete with TV, Playstation 3 and sofas, making the perfect escape for some time away from the sun and some R&R. Ponta do Sol is known as the sunniest place in Madeira and plays host to a number of amenities. On the roundabout of Ponta do Sol is the closest café, bakery and supermarket. Opposite is a small shopping centre where you can find additional shops and facilities. The town of Ponta do Sol, at sea level, offers additional restaurants as well as a couple of trendy bars and the whole town front is opposite a rocky beach with access to the sea. 10 minutes by car east is the town of Ribeira Brava, the largest town before Funchal, and that offers another rocky beach in addition to a large supermarket and more shops, cafés, and restaurants. 10 minutes by car west is the resort of Calheta with its man-made golden sandy beaches, a marina and a further choice of supermarket, restaurants and bars. The capital, Funchal, is an easy 30-minute drive away on the motorway.
Vista da Praia is great for those seeking an 'away from it all' holiday villa, but this means it does not have direct access to the road. From the road, there are 25 steps down to reach a pathway that runs for 65 metres past other houses and banana tree plantations before a further 17 steps down lead to the main gate of the Vista da Praia. It is not suitable for those with walking difficulties. On arrival and departure, help is provided in carrying the luggage down the steps, should you require this.
