Description
Situated in Gurnard this beautiful 2 bedroom semi-detached holiday home can sleep up to 4 guests. The accommodation offers a modern furnished lounge, fully fitted kitchen, dining room, master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, twin bedroom and separate shower room. The house also benefits from a beautiful conservatory with French doors leading to the fully enclosed garden and patio area. The driveway is to the side of the property.
The property is situated within a 5 minute walk of Gurnard sea front and beach, with its colourful beach huts overlooking the sea, and cafe. The safe sand/shingle beach has rock pools, and at low tide you can walk along the shore to nearby Cowes. Also located here is the friendly Gurnard Sailing club, the major dinghy sailing club on the island. ‘The Luck', a stream that runs into the sea, is a popular fishing spot for children. A footpath leads you onto a cliff walk west into Thorness Bay, and is part of the coastal path around the island.
A short stroll down the hill will lead you to ‘The Woodvale', a family-friendly waterfront pub, and a wonderful place to watch the beautiful sunsets across the Solent. The pub overlooks the village green, an ideal place for children to play. You are also close to The Little Gloster - a haven away from the hustle and bustle of Island life, offering simple yet stunning seasonal food in a simplistic Scandinavian styled Restaurant, Bar and B&B.
The world famous resort of Cowes is a pleasant waterfront walk away, along the Princes Esplanade. Cowes is the home of yachting, famous as one of the world's main yachting centres, and in August hundreds come to race and enjoy the bustling nightlife. Cowes Marina and Yacht Haven are both ideal locations for those with an interest in yachting, or simply those wishing to soak up the great atmosphere. Cowes Parade is an interesting place at any time of year to watch passing ships. The town centre has an abundance of small shops and supermarkets, with a varied choice of fine cafes, pubs and restaurants.
Staying in Gurnard provides easy access to all other areas of the Island, with its choice of beautiful beaches, superb coastline, and stunning walking and cycling country.
