Description

Ideally situated in the flourishing countryside of Western Sicily, among the endless fields of citrus and olive groves, Casa Gazza Ladra is the dream holiday-home for those looking to escape the strain and stress of everyday life.
The vast gardens and shimmering pool create a suitably calm welcome to the property, with green fields and forests extending as far as the eye can see!

And your arrival will only get more interesting as you enter through the main door, into a small hallway and through to the beautiful living space within. The open-plan living and dining area make for a perfectly cosy environment for relaxing after a long day of exploring. A large sofa and a comfortable armchair look out on an exquisite veranda through vast patio doors that ensure a thoroughly bright, airy interior. Traditional colours, features and artwork create a homely and welcoming feel throughout the room, ensuring your comfort and contentment. Alongside the living area is a breathtakingly beautiful kitchen. Truly a budding chef's dream, the spacious kitchen is the perfect place to cook up a storm, with a huge range cooker and all the latest mod cons. There's even an external door straight to the garden!

The whole villa is situated on the ground floor, making it ideal for those less mobile. All three ornate and beautiful bedrooms are therefore dispersed across this ground floor, creating a sense of being connected to the action. A bonus is that each has a set of exterior doors that take you straight into the thriving garden! So you needn't miss a moment of valuable pool-side sunbathing. Each room has a glorious double bed, powerful decor of bold colours and traditional patterns and a deluxe ensuite bathroom. Modern, bright and marble-panelled, each bathroom is unique and beautiful, offering a luxury space in which to beautify and pamper oneself, ready for another day in heaven.

The veranda provides the perfect location for an evening glass of wine, with a set of sofas and chairs around a small coffee table, and a lovely dining table for six alongside the kitchen, allowing you to dine alfresco in the warm evenings. Palm trees provide plenty of shading, while the set of sun loungers around the pool ensure you can catch plenty of sun on the long, hot days. The patio overlooks the vast pool, with soothing and tasteful lighting to create an atmosphere of energy and opportunity – as the sun sets and the night begins. Light the barbecue to truly get the party started!

A region famous for both its history and wine, you are ideally placed to enjoy the traditional wonders of the delightful island of Sicily.

You can marvel at the ancient ruins of Selinunte e Segesta, a group of impressive Greek temples and ruins of an ancient Greek city, considered one of the most important archaeological areas in all of Europe. Alternatively, stroll among the array of plants and animals and the total calm of the Belice River Nature Reserve, or a little further afield is the Zingaro Nature Reserve, just 70km from the villa, perfect for a day trip. For a taste of the local delicacies, book onto a wine or oil tasting, or even a tour of a local vineyard or mill.

Sicily is a diverse and beautiful island on the southern tip of Italy famous for its exquisite wine and gastronomy (largely Mediterranean cuisine with strong hints of Arabic and Spanish influence), interesting architecture, and its picturesque rugged coastline. The island's capital, Palermo, has a thriving nightlife and wonderful opportunities for sightseeing.
