The village of Palagnana, where there is a restaurant, is located a few hundred meters away and can therefore be reached on foot. For lovers of trekking and walking this is a real paradise because the paths traced by the CAI are really numerous and also lead to the highest peaks, such as Monte Penna, Monte Croce and Monte Forato. In this region called Garfagnana the bravest persons can also experience the thrill of rafting or kayaking, but also visit caves, such as the famous Grotta del Vento, about 15 km away.This region is also rich in events and festivals, during which it is possible to taste the many gastronomic specialties of the area. If you want to immerse yourself in art, you can take a day trip to Lucca, while the sea of Versilia and the fashionable Viareggio are approx. 45 km.
