Auldfield is warm and very comfortably furnished, and has an attractive terraced garden at the rear with views over the surrounding farmland. There is an abundance of amazing wildlife on the Moray Coast - ospreys, seals and dolphins are regularly spotted from the shingle beaches at Kingston and Garmouth, where the River Spey meets the sea. The historic town of Elgin is just 5 miles away, with its good selection of shops, cafés and restaurants. Visit the 13th-century ruins of Elgin Cathedral or sample whiskies from the local distilleries or the famous Gordon and MacPhail’s shop in the town centre – this is after all on the Whisky Trail. Golfers are well rewarded with a good selection of courses within a 20-mile radius of the village, including Garmouth, Kingston and Maverston, all within a very short drive of the property. Fishing enthusiasts can try for salmon and trout on the River Spey, and you can enjoy a pleasant day out at Baxters Highland Visitor Centre, Walkers Shortbread Factory or the Whale and Dolphin Centre, all very close by. Garmouth and Lossiemouth are a short drive away with fabulous beaches. The stunning scenery both inland towards the Cairngorms and on the sunny Moray Coast reflects the diverse landscape and beauty of this part of Scotland. Shop and pub ½ mile, restaurant 1 mile.
