Description

"Son Bordils Petit" has more of the character of a young, fruity Prosecco than a slowly-ripened late vintage such as the one cultivated and sold in the nearby winery "Ses Bordils". However, both will equally welcome connoisseurs who know how to appreciate the virtues of each. And this villa has so much to offer to enchant you: its beautiful L-shape with covered terraces, that captures so much light - you will have everyone and everything in view here, and can move around with the sun; the infinity pool with its convenient steps and view of almond trees - you will feel as though you are blooming along with them as you swim your lengths; the small green area with its swings - children will love their own playground; you are welcome to pick fruit from the villa's fig, plum, medlar and apricot trees, and fresh eggs are complimentary - you will want for nothing. Even if the property has "petit" in its name, the only thing that makes it look small are the distant mountains which make it appear even more significant. It's a panorama you can drink a toast to, with the prize-winning wine made by the Coll family next door...

The interior also has something bubbly about it - if you're seeing red, pink, blue and violet, it's not because you've had a little too much to drink. The bold use of colour on individual walls in the living room and bedrooms makes each room unmistakable, and is tastefully complemented with matching pictures and furnishings. This is what lifestyle partnered with joie de vivre looks like, and certainly deserves a "Gran Reserva" label. Whichever bedroom you take, you can jump straight out of bed, outside, and into the pool - although there may be some arguments over the en-suite bathroom and the walk-in wardrobe! The state-of-the-art, compact built-in kitchen with its floor-to-ceiling glass doors radiates quality and will grant all your (culinary) desires; with a few swift movements you can transform your indoor and outdoor areas into your own wine bar and bistro, staying open late into the night. And if the weather gets hot - how about a refreshing shower? Or, if you prefer, a long relaxing soak in a candlelit bath? With three bathrooms, you can easily afford to have one occupied for a while; the centre of Mallorca invites you to regain your natural balance!

Town and country, centrally located but still a little bit off the beaten track - close proximity to the Ma-3240 to Sineu (audible outdoors at the villa) means you can be on the road almost immediately. From there it is just a 7 minute drive to the north to Inca, one of the island's lively main towns. Traditional cellar taverns such as the Celler Can Amer in Carrer de la Pau offer a taste of the region's specialities, and you can often pick up a bargain at the numerous leather workshops. Or look over the shoulders of the shoemakers in nearby Lloseta, then treat yourself to a pair of Bestard Mountain Boots for a hike in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. Travelling through a region dotted with windmills in the direction of Sineu and Costitx, you will find more traditional attractions such as the popular weekly market (with medieval backdrop), the only observatory on Mallorca, and many culinary surprises on offer. And, it goes without saying, good wine, ripened under the Spanish sun...
