Description

Situated within a group of properties up on the hill ‘Poggione’ less than 1 km from the Historic centre of the medieval town of Sarteano, this recently restored farmhouse is perfect for a family or small group of friends. Immersed within its own private garden with shady mature trees and plants leading down to the private swimming pool with plenty of space for relaxing, sunbathing and enjoying the peace and tranquility of the countryside whilst being just a stones thrown from all necessary amenities, great bars and fabulous restaurants.
Sarteano’s strategic position allows the exploration of Tuscany, Umbria and its stunning medieval towns a breeze; Florence, Siena, Perugia and Rome are all within an hour or so and the magnificent Val d’Orcia can be reached in just a few minutes, leading to Pienza, San Quirico, Bagno Vignoni, to name just a few of the jewels in the UNESCO World Heritage site.
The house, spread over two floors has 3 large bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 twin), 2 bathrooms and 2 reception rooms. The main kitchen is situated on the ground floor whilst a smaller breakfast kitchen or bar area is found on the first floor, ideal for a large family or 2 families sharing. Dining terraces are found on both floors, the upper terrace looking out towards Monte Cetona and the lower overlooking the garden and pool area. The thick stone walls make provide welcome cool in the summer or make the house deliciously cozy in the winter, along with 2 fireplaces for those very cold evenings.
