Casaforte di Rignano, a XIII century stone house with its 500 m2 and 17 hectares of enclosed land enjoys a unique location. Although in times gone by it was used for defensive purposes, through the centuries it has always been inhabited and recently underwent extensive refurbishment. The atmosphere of this unique residence is one of peace and privacy. The patios around the property treat visitors to a stunning view of the area. The communal parts of the house are spacious and well-furnished, blending an historical atmosphere with modern comfort. Visitors will enjoy admiring the star-studded skies on clear nights or relaxing by the pool listening to music.

The bedrooms are well furnished, 3 of them are large and have a double bed, one is a single room and has a bunk bed. Between the ground floor and the first floor there is an open mezzanine with 2 single beds that can be eventually used.
Bed linen are included.

The two bathrooms are very well manteined, have a double shower, wc, bidet and are fully equipped (soap set, towels).

The pool is 12m x 6m. We provide for towels.

Mid stay cleaning is available as optional extra. Housekeeper for cleaning can be provided on request.

The nearby “Villaggio della Salute” (just 2 km away) provides family fun with its 10 swimming pools filled with geothermal spring water as well as offering a comprehensive range of beauty and wellness treatments.

A 15-minute (13km) car journey takes golf-enthusiasts to the Le Fonti Gold Club and its 18- hole course and the local horse riding centres organise hacks in the area, the perfect way to enjoy the stunning local countryside.

The nearby town of Castel San Pietro offers a good selection of restaurants in which to sample the mouth-watering egg pasta the Emilia-Romagna area is famous for and many other local delicacies. During the summer period, the area also boasts a host of culinary festivals, what better opportunity to savour hand-made tortelloni or tagliatelle?
Bologna, which is famous for its delicious cuisine and for being home to the oldest European University, which was established in 1088, is well worth a visit.
