Potrero is a hidden jewel in the north-west of Guanacaste and is a quiet town that used to be a small fishing village. The New $50M Flamingo Marina is located on the South-West corner of Playa Potrero Beach (adjacent to Playa Flamingo). In Potrero you will find a friendly community of Ticos (locals) and Ex-pats who enjoy the serene atmosphere and beautiful location of this adorable little town. This rural town embraces the old Costa Rican coast villages style and can be seen as a tranquil spot away from other touristy places and perfect if you're seeking a tranquil getaway from the hustle and bustle of modern life. If you are looking for a town with a lot of nightlife, or a busy town, our home is probably not the best fit for you.
The Villa is walking distance to three beautiful beaches (Penca, Prieta, and Playa Potrero), restaurants, cafes, gelato shop and local grocery stores. You are also a short car ride away from several other beaches (Danta, Dantita, Flamingo, Conchal), many more great restaurants, and grocery stores. Tamarindo is about a 50 min drive away and Liberia Airport is an hour away. The entire property is fenced and gated but is not in a gated community.
The Villa consists of 4 levels and can accommodate a total of 8 people (combination adults and children). On the first level you will find an open concept floor plan with the kitchen, dining area and indoor living room. Want to wake up and enjoy pura vida mornings at the Villa, we have you covered with our breakfast, and housekeeping service-please inquire for more details, or you can hire a chef. The dining area features a custom-made Guanacaste wood table that seats 8 with great ocean views.
The villa features 4 usable outdoor spaces to be enjoyed. The saltwater pool allows you to keep cool during the day or enjoy a perfect night swim. There is an outdoor covered living room featuring a 50-inch smart tv and an indoor living room with 50-inch smart tv as well, no cable. Want to enjoy an afternoon nap, or some drinks before or after dinner, enter the backyard oasis with a two tier, natural stone pond, custom built bench with ample seating, BBQ and tropical gardens. On the third level there is also a large partially covered terrace with glass guard rails and incredible ocean views, perfect for sunset viewing, after dinner lounging, or yoga.
Casa Pacifique has 4 bedrooms that are located on the 2nd floor and each have full bathrooms, fans and ac units. There is also a small laundry room with stackable washer/dryer on this level.
We want to make sure that you have the most memorable vacation in Costa Rica and based on our comprehensive knowledge and own experiences, we offer full concierge service to all of our guests. We only work with providers that we have personally used and are happy to help you with your tours, golf cart rentals, car rentals, chef services, pre-arrival shopping, airport transportation, in house massages, or anything else you can think of.
The villa has good fibre optics WIFI and a water softener that gets rid of impurities and provides for softer, mineral-free water.
If you are traveling with small children or have any mobility issues you need to consider the following before booking: The Villa is located at the top of a very steep driveway, there are 4 levels, so many stairs to climb.
Construction - Currently there is a new home being built next to our property and we do not control their hours of operation. Estimated time of completion is August 2025.
The villa and property have security cameras on the outside only to capture different entry points. We do not have any inside the home. We respect our guests privacy and only have them as added protection for the home.
Pool and gardens are serviced 2 times a week.
Costa Rica is our family's second home, so when we choose to rent the villa out to guests and are in Costa Rica, we may be staying in the apartment at the bottom of the property. You will have complete privacy and we do not have access to the pool during your stay.
You will be sent a detailed welcome package and rental agreement once you book.
