This extremely well-presented, Victorian semi-detached holiday home is located in the delightful coastal village of Gurnard only a short walk from the beach and seafront where you can enjoy a dip in the sea, drink coffee and eat cake from one of the cafés, or sample the locally caught seafood. The area is popular for sailing as well as other watersports. Enjoy an ice cream, or have a barbecue by the beach whilst enjoying one of the breathtaking Gurnard sunsets, and the great views of the Solent. There are a few small shops in the village, as well as two pubs which serve food and offer a selection of Island Ales. Alternatively, you can continue along the coastal path around to the neighbouring harbour town of Cowes, dubbed the ’UK’s yachting capital’.
Major attractions on the Isle of Wight are in plentiful supply with something sure to suit everyone. For history and culture you could visit Queen Victoria’s former residence at Osborne House, or take a tour of Carisbrooke Castle. The Needles rock formations and lighthouse, and the coloured sands of Alum Bay have plenty to keep your family occupied. Alternatively, keep your children entertained at one of the fun parks, including Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill, both easily reached by car or public transport. Beach ¾ mile. Shop 400 yards, pub 200 yards and restaurant 900 yards.
