Description

Bowness Cottage is in a secluded landscape in the stunning Lake District. This charming building has original 17th century oak panelling, beamed ceilings and plenty of character! It's a traditional Lakeland farmhouse in a peaceful area, with beautiful gardens and its own tennis court! As you walk up the private driveway, you'll reach the courtyard entrance; there is outdoor parking space here as well as a double garage.

There are two entrances to the cottage, the traditional entrance porch and then the entrance at the kitchen. The preferred entrance of many is through the kitchen, which is a stunning farmhouse kitchen, complete with modern appliances as well as an Aga. This quaint kitchen is cosy and warm; ultimately it is an inviting first entrance to the property! The mixture of the modern appliances with the traditional adds to the character of this kitchen! From the kitchen there is a utility rom and a pantry which will lead to the garden and courtyard. The table in the kitchen is more for small families or grabbing a cup of tea whilst you cook! But for all your holiday party, there is a spacious dining room with a large oak table!

If you choose the traditional entrance, then you'll come into the living room with deep, comfortable sofas that you can just lose yourself in. With the television and a beautiful open fire place, this will be a lovely relaxing evening for all that gather here. The atmosphere made by this cottage is constant relaxation, it's a constant calm, and the stunning surroundings add this atmosphere. There is even a grand piano here for any budding musicians that love to play! Whether you're relaxing here after a day of exploring nearby, or spending an evening by the fire, you will have a cosy cottage to do it in!

Adding to the magic of this cottage, there is a concealed staircase that leads upstairs to the bedrooms and bathrooms. There are five bedrooms, a mix of doubles and one super king or a twin room, depending on how you request it to be set up. All of the rooms are minimal and bright, they are spacious and offer a more than comfortable place to rest your head each night. The bedrooms all have views over the gardens, these views are breath-takingly gorgeous, they will be a view you'll be glad to wake up to every morning.

Continuing outside to the gardens, you'll find secret pathways, hiding spots, tennis courts, a summer house and more! This landscape is a fairy-tale garden, and it's waiting for you all to explore. There is even a games room with a table tennis table! Whether you're interested in games, friendly competition or relaxation, you'll have a great time on the grounds of Bowness Cottage.

For exploring more of this beautiful place, it is recommended that you hop on public transport so that you can really see what is on offer! With the aid public transport of a car, you can explore Troutbeck, Ambleside and more. You'll be able to enjoy a peaceful holiday and still explore the countryside.
