Fronted by an immaculate lawn and framed with mature trees it is a truly imposing sight and once inside guests will not be disappointed. Beautifully refurbished, the grandeur of Beck House has been fully restored. At its heart is the spacious and comfortable lounge, elegantly styled with its decorative plaster ceiling, traditional seating and beautiful arch-framed window that fills the room with light. Guests will enjoy relaxing in here in front of the open fire after a day out at the coast or exploring the beautiful moorlands. There is also a large games room, complete with a full-size billiards table, perfect for whiling away an hour or two before dinner, and a downstairs shower room with WC. The charming kitchen is bright and fresh, with a pretty breakfast table ideal for morning coffee where guests can look out over the lush garden through the patio doors. For more formal dining, the stunning dining table sits in a lovely spot next to the games room. Beautifully light and elegant, it is the perfect place for a sophisticated evening meal.

Heading upstairs to the first floor, guests will discover two charming double rooms. The master bedroom is simply stunning. Spacious and elegant, it is decorated in soft natural tones with a few floral splashes to create a traditional feel. Guests can enjoy relaxing with a book on the sofa, beautifully framed by the archway window that looks out onto the gardens below. Also on this floor is the second double room, a riot of pretty pastel blues and pinks, complemented by a smart brass bedstead. An elegant bathroom, with a freestanding bath, separate shower and WC, offers the opportunity of a luxurious soak to start the day.

Moving up to the second floor, there are two more bedrooms, one comfortable twin room that also has a cot and is ideal for children, and a third cosy double room. A smart, contemporary shower room is also on this floor, with hand basin and WC.

Outside, there is a lovely stretch of lawn at the front of the property. To the rear there is also a lawn, edged by mature shrubs and trees, along with a patio with garden furniture and a barbecue, perfect for al fresco meals on warm days. #### Location
Scalby village sits on the southeast tip of the vast swathe of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and is just 4 miles from the golden sands of Scarborough on the Yorkshire coast. The village is bisected by the Sea Cut, a man-made channel that diverts the water from the Moors into Scalby Beck and out to sea. The National Park stretches for over 500 square miles, a dramatic landscape of forests and high moorland edged by the North Sea on its eastern side, home to Whitby, Ravenscar and Staithes. Historically the moors played a major role in the Industrial Revolution, with ironstone mines contributing to the growth of the iron and steel industry. Today, the park is largely home to hill farmers and much loved by visitors who come to appreciate the stunning landscape.

The vibrant seaside town of Scarborough offers a wealth of attractions and activities for all ages and interests. This old Victorian town boasts an attractive promenade that curves around the seafront to the harbour. The ruins of Scarborough Castle stand proudly on the headland and provide superb views across the north and south bay. The 3000-year history of the castle are documented in the onsite exhibition, from its Bronze Age beginnings through to its role in the First World War.

Scarborough offers plenty of options for shopping, from high street favourites to the fascinating Market Hall and Vaults where you can find everything from charcuterie to crochet. There is also a superb array of eateries to choose from, from fine dining to cosy fish-and-chip cafes.

There is no shortage of culture in the town either. Scarborough Art Gallery, set in the elegant Crescent Gardens, houses an excellent selection of works by both national and international artists. The Rotunda Museum, built in 1829, and one of the first purpose-built museums in the country, is home to an array of fascinating objects from dinosaur fossils to Stone Age relics, and has a particular focus on the history and geology of the Yorkshire coastline.

Further afield, take a drive north to the popular fishing town of Whitby. Buzzing with activity, the town is home to the superb Whitby Abbey. Climb the 199 steps from the town up to the famous abbey from where you can admire the superb views out to sea and across the town with its tumble of houses.

To enjoy the beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors in comfort, pay a visit to the historic North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Take a ride behind one of the restored steam engines that travel 24 miles through picturesque scenery from Pickering to Whitby in the heart of the National Park
