The salt lakes just south of Santa Pola are another interesting aspAect of this area as is the Nature Reserve 'El Cot' which is just 2 minutes walk from the Villa and includes many migratory birds. Arenales del Sol can be reached by foot and includes a wonderful palm lined promenade for a cool evening stroll. Benidorm with all its attractions, including Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia water park and Mundomar animal park is just 1 hour's drive to the north, while Torrevieja which boasts the largest street market in Spain is 25 minutes drive south.
