Description

With an interior that just oozes laid-back luxe, this ivy-clad brick cottage delivers WOW factor on every level… best of all there are six beautiful beaches only a 15-20 minutes drive away and beautiful rural walks nearby. Superb!

The house is filled with sumptuous, soft furnishings, (think velvet Parker Knoll & Neptune sofas, cashmere throws and crewel work cushions), the calming blue palette, and tactile nature of Wild Rabbit Cottage is sure to give design addicts & foodies the goosebumps.

No doubt to become a firm favourite with our guests, the open-plan kitchen/diner area really is the loveliest of lovely. It is superbly set up, with all the things you’ll need to enjoy gathering and feasting. With plenty of room to spill outside and savour the sun, you may find yourself ‘oh-ing’ and ‘ah-ing’ as you uncover the swoon-worthy pantry, and collection of kitchenalia & ceramics.

Enticing you to savour the good life with your favourite people, Wild Rabbit Cottage is located on a quiet lane, just on the outskirts of the National Park. With the beautiful coastline of Milford on Sea, and an abundance of woodland walks, just a short car ride away; the forest, sea and bustling town of Lymington are all waiting to be explored!

Whilst set up for adults, families will be very happy here. This property is suitable for up to two babies and will best suit those with children over 8 years old due to the luxury of the interior.

Inside
Home to an abundance of nature; the playful wild rabbits dwelling in this gorgeous rural location, have inspired both its name, and its interior style!

We absolutely love the open-plan kitchen, with masses of natural flooding in from the skylights, and bi-folds to bring the outside in.

With Shaker style cabinets and a giant central island (providing the perfect spot to gather & feast around), the vast array of top-notch kitchenalia brings joy to every sip & supper shared here (expect Neptune, Le Creuset, Mason Cash, Nigella along with some vintage, SMEG, Nespresso & Kitchen Aid to name a few)!

Our team loved the smallest room in the house the best - the pantry. It is 'chocca' full of the most beautiful cookery-bookery, and prettiest jugs, vases, mugs and cups; in 50 shades of blue!

The owner is an expert at setting up textile contrasts; exposed brick, soft velvets, egliomise mirrors, natural linens, cottons, wools & cashmere- juxtaposed at every angle to give a luxurious and interesting feel to the house.

With two bespoke Parker Knoll sofas to back sink into (crafted from a unique blue velvet), there are also two, plush Neptune armchairs (in deep teal/turquoise velvets) -creating plenty of spots to rest & relax!

Each of the three bedrooms are smooth and curated...

Downstairs, the lovely French-style bedroom enjoys an ensuite shower room. This room has an exposed brick wall with a huge handmade art-deco Rene Mackintosh bed and king size Tempur mattress.

Next door is a good size bathroom for a small cottage. Shower or bathe here, with an array of Cowshed products ready for you!

Upstairs there are two bedrooms;

The Le Bleu Lapin room is filed with designer details and is home to; a Neptune bed (complete with a bespoke mattress), handmade Mulberry curtains & a stunning Ralph Lauren rug. You'll find checks, tweeds, faux sheepskin rugs, and the prettiest of high thread count embroidered linens. Guests here also have a small ensuite shower room.

Next door is the third bedroom, The Hare. Painted the colour of wild rabbit fur, it's a calm and considered room with country checks, deep faux sheepskin rugs, and carpets so thick you can make footprints on them! Snuggle up in a goosedown duvet on a Tempur mattress with luxury, high thread count bed linen.

The owner provides guests with a choice of eco cleaning products along with anti-viral/bacterial versions required in these times. The personal care products provided are all eco, vegan and natural and include brands such as Cowshed and Elemental Herbology (to reduce environmental impact, these are all full sized products which stay in the house) There is a great recycling set up here too- including Nespresso pods.

Stay here for quality, style, and laidback luxe! The intensity of the colours, the curated textiles & ceramics, design-y bits and bobs - your Instagram feed will explode with love.

Outside
At the back of the house there is an enclosed private garden, with hedging bordering the lawn & patio area. With room for four, you will also find the sweetest summer house- filled with vintage games for you to enjoy.

The patio has plenty of space for six to eat outside, with a smart Neptune outdoor table, a new charcoal Webber BBQ & pretty Victorian ironwork seating.

Externally, there is parking for at least two cars at the front of the property on the private driveway.

Home truths
This property is suitable for up to two babes in arms and children over 8 years old due to the luxury of the interior.

Easily fitting two cars, the private driveway will accommodate up-to three cars when one is parked behind another.

For hygiene purposes, all pillows are non-feather.

For walks, whilst the lane and local footpaths are quiet and pretty, it's really better to get in the car for better walking. Our standards for 'good walks' is very high - because so many of our houses are within the National Park boundaries or on the coastal path.

However, in practice, you can walk to the coast from here, but have to do a short stretch of an A road, but after that, it's great. Or head north into the National Park and you'll be spoilt for choice.

There are two security cameras to the front and side of the property. They are for security purposes only and will not effect your privacy.

Accessibility
There is a small step from the driveway of Wild Rabbit Cottage to the front door.

Just to the left, as you enter, there is the gorgeous downstairs bedroom- with the downstairs bathroom located just next-door. There are no other steps on the ground floor.

At the top of the stairs, the space between the two rooms is small (and has a step so please be careful here. Do look at the virtual tour for more information.
