Description
Pauntley is the perfect 2 bedroom Cornish getaway for a couple or family of 4 seeking a long weekend, a short break or a longer holiday. Available all year round, the cottage boasts a lounge with wood burner, wall mounted heaters, high speed Wi-Fi, TV, ample sized kitchen & diner and a wonderful enclosed southwest-facing courtyard and barbecue area with dry store. The bedrooms include a good sized double bed with ample wardrobe space and a smaller children's room with a large bunk bed.
Dogs are welcome and parking is situated opposite the cottage.
Situated yards from a quiet pub with a good reputation for food, Pauntley is just a 5 minute drive from Rock with a foot ferry to Padstow accessible from the end of Rock. The surfing beach of Polzeath is a 10 minute drive away and both Rock and Polzeath offer a wide range of water sports and a great choice of beaches, some of which are dog-friendly all year round. Two very good golf courses (the St Enodoc is listed in the top 100 courses in the world), an indoor swimming pool and gymnasium are just 5 minutes away.
Padstow, Rock, Port Isaac and the villages in between offer a wide range of excellent restaurant and pub dining. Port Isaac and Wadebridge are both 10 minutes drive from St Minver Village.
Although a car is necessary, taxis are available and all the main towns and villages are accessible on bikes. The Camel Trail is a very safe child-friendly cycle route accessed via Wadebridge or Padstow using the Rock-Padstow foot ferry.
This part of North Cornwall offers excellent road links to other parts of Cornwall for day trips.
