VILLA PANTALONE – CASTELLAMARE DEL GOLFO
Situated in the municipal of Castellamare del Golfo, Villa Pantalone is the ideal place to discover the wild nature of Sicily. In fact the villa is right in the middle of two of the best environmental areas of the island. On the west the unique Zingaro’s natural reserve populated by Bonelli’s eagle, an endemic species. More than 40 nesting birds have been counted in this reserve besides mammals such as rabbit, weasels, hedgehogs, and the porcupine. The coast line offers incredible scuba diving possibilities. Fishing has been forbidden for the past 30 years and you can easily spot big groupers, lobsters, octopus, and other Mediterranean species moving around large intact poseidonia’s prairies! Animals of floral aspect are also present in these waters: anemones, sea roses, sponges with yellow, violet and red shades cover grottos and passages. In the very depth you can see gems of red coral. The reserve offers also great opportunity of trekking offering incredible sunset pictures when you reach the top of the mount Speziale, almost 1000 meters high. Before reaching the natural reserve, you might want to swim in the Caribbean waters of the Tonnara of Scopello and their beautiful faraglioni. Tonnaras were specific tuna fishing places used for centuries. Today this fishing practice has disappeared, however these sites have been preserved as modern archaeological national heritage.
If nature is not all for you, in proximity of this villa you can find the stunning Greek temple of Segesta. This world famous site is at only 20 km from the house. Segesta is an unusually well preserved Greek Doric temple. It was built around the 4th century BC by an Athenian architect. It has six by fourteen columns on a base measuring 21 by 56 meters, on a platform three steps high.
Travelling another 20 km you can find the spectacular middle age village of Erice dominating Trapani and the north western point of Sicily.
All the area is spotted with old middle aged villages with their typical art influenced by Arabic culture and Saracen presence.
Going eastbound you can reach Palermo one of the most ancient cities in Europe with a unique puzzle of different cultures and artistic styles. At minutes from the city centre you will find one of the most beautiful mosaics in the world, the famous Pantocrator in Monreale’s cathedral.

Villa Pantalone is approx. 130 sq. meters big within a luscious Mediterranean garden with lots of olive trees. This property has its own avenue and independent access. All the property is fenced and has a private main entry gate and its own parking slot.

The house develops over one level and it overlooks the city of Castellamare del Golfo and the blue Mediterranean Sea.

The house is composed by two units each 65sqm. Please note that if the under occupancy price is applied for up to 6 people , one unit will not be available. It is Ideal for big groups that want to keep their privacy and independence. Both units have their own living room and kitchen. In each kitchen there is a Microwave oven, a coffee machine with caps, a toaster, stove and oven. In both living rooms there is a sofa bed that can sleep 2 people, which means extra 4 persons can be accommodated in the villa. In each unit there is a double bedroom and a two-bed room. That makes a total of 2 double bedrooms and 2 two-bed rooms. A bathroom with shower is available in each unit.

A common large veranda goes along the whole house with tables and garden furniture overlooking the pool. A barbecue is available outside for lovely grilled meats. The pool size is 10 x 6 meters large and it goes from 1.20 to 2.40 meters deep. From this veranda you will have a unique view of Castellamare and the sea.
