Description

A beautiful Tuscany villa in an upscale gated community, with incredible views, a private swimming pool, in a gorgeous garden surrounded by ancient olive trees, situated in a dominant and panoramic quiet position away from traffic and noise.
An ideal place to spend a relaxing holiday.
The house, which was completely renovated recently, used to be the farm of Princess Sofia Lanza di Trabia-Borghese, the Borghese family who had built some of the treasures of ancient Rome, including Villa Borghese and St Peter's Cathedral. It has a beautifully furnished and luminous living room with an antique marble fireplace, a comfortable and functional modern kitchen, dining room, 5 large bedrooms with 5 en-suite bathrooms, plus one social bathroom. And as you might expect, antique furnishings abound throughout mixed up with contemporary pieces.
Outside the house, added to the indoor comforts, there is what is one of the most desirable in a Mediterranean Holiday: a comfortable outdoor living. Under a wisteria-covered pergola, there are outdoor seating couches with upholstered cushions and pillows, and one large dining table that seats 12.
The beautiful garden is surrounded by olive and cypress trees, lavender, rosemary, salvia leucanta, penissetum and varieties of clematis, wisteria and bougainvillaeas. From all the house and its spacious garden, you'll enjoy amazing views, either of the sea, olive trees plantations that encircle the property, and the historic fortresses of Forte Filippo and Forte Stella, built by Spaniards during 1600.
The large swimming pool and the outdoor living room and dining room would make your summer nights enlightened with full moons, gifted memories that will last all year long.
Our housekeeper will make your experience even more comfortable.
For a fabulous Italian beach holiday, this is it. If you are debating whether to visit some of Italy's historic cities and towns, like Rome, Florence and Siena or taking a fabulous beach holiday with family or friends, here is the solution.
You can have it all!
Argentario's old castles, forts, and Renaissance streets speak the voice of history that attracts us all to Italy. Porto Ercole, on Monte Argentario, a peninsula south of Grosseto in Tuscany, is full of Renaissance charm and history. Caravaggio, for instance, washed-up dead on Porto Ercole's shores 400 years ago. There are four historic forts which remind us of past wars and that the Spaniards held control in the 16th century, leaving their influence in the architecture and the people.

But this is also a stylish resort whose sportive ports play host to fabulous yachts and the jet-setters who fill it today. You will enjoy strolling the charming and active harbours, dotted with excellent seaside restaurants, cafes, bars, and gelaterias, and the incredible beaches and shores. You can go snorkelling, or rent canoes and pedal boats in the chic "La Riva del Marchese " terraced beach. Or you can rent a motorboat an head to the charming island of Giglio or the awesome Giannutri island just off the coast, where you can swim in pristine waters, have a delicious lunch and stroll more historic streets of these Castle-Fort Islands.

But your holiday doesn't have to stop here, because Porto Ercole is exquisitely located just an hour's drive to Siena and Arezzo and less than 2 hours' drive to Florence and Rome. So, when you have had enough of the sun and the sea, just take a day trip to one of the many treasures from your home away from home.
This truly could be, the holiday of a lifetime.
